  1. I'm saying Bright Red (Orange)!
  2. Was always hoping that Accurate Miniatures was going to come out with one after their Corvette Grand Sport kits. Man that would have been something.
  3. Did Polar Lights make a 1/16 scale '70 Mustang?
  4.

  5. Still have my copy of SAE from Oct 1990 which has the article on how Doug Whyte converted a MPC Daytona Charger to a NASCAR version. See the PDF file below. whyte daytona charger.pdf
  6. Well, the MPC release of the Richard Brooks Daytona Charger was close. But it does need some corrections.
  7. Bill, I just found your thread on Ala Kart Part Two (don't know how I missed it as I have been watching for it ). Have read your analysis and Dave Darby's. Am I right to conclude that a "better" Ala Kart can be made using the following combination of parts. From the new release: tires , wheels, front and rear suspension?, and chassis. From the original release: engine, fenders, nose, hood, body tub parts and pickup box (lowering the box cover in side the top lip). Will need a set of Cady decals. Would this be a fair assumption? Please advise.
  8. Ah, yes, I remember trying to get that "Bed of Snakes" exhaust to fit on the IMC GT40 I built. Put it back several times before I succeeded.
  9. Ha, here's one I have been wanting to do for years. In honor of Tom Medley and his cartoons in Hot Rod mags in the '50's and '60's. Had built the Highboy Roadster long ago but couldn't find an affordable Stroker figure. Finally got one. Hope you other "Old Timers" get a kick out of it, too.
  10. Great work . Yes, it is a logghe chassis, but it is a Stage 1 (1966 version). In 1967 he used a Stage 2 Logghe chassis.
  11. X2 What he said usually works!
  12. I love the internet. There is a wealth of information, that shows you have to go back and redo builds you thought were done. Redid this pair of SWC Willys gassers. As run in 1965 and 1967.
  13. Does the Funny Car/Dragster only kit come with the two upper body shells (one clear and one yellow tinted)?
  14. I don't know. But I'm sure someone on this Forum could answer that. I do know it was a close match for the one they left out of the AWB Cyclone FC kit.
  15. Yep, I used the kit's body (moved the rear wheel wells back to stock) with the kits headlights/grill (added the grill insert from a Fireball 500 Barracuda). The interior tin and floorboard from an old MPC FC, chassis, engine, wheels and tires came from the Polar Lights Mustang FC. Slixx decals.
  16. Agree, is a great commercial. I go to Walmart very rarely, but if I do I take my Walmart Bingo card to play.
  17. Great kit for parts but not real accurate.
  18. Agree with both Force and Snake, the original question of this tread was what can be done with this kit? It does come with a Hemi for custom or race options but it does need help.
  19. Pic from Sox & Martin Memorial. Show's '67, '68, '69, '70, '71, '72, and '73 Plymouths. All Hemi's?
  20. Built this Sox & Martin version years ago from the MPC "Killer 'Cuda" kit. Did use the Johan S&M Cuda wheels, tires, chassis and engine though. A lot of work on the interior to fit it to the Johan chassis.
  21. Got this built one off Epay. Wasn't too bad, chrome had not been scraped so it came apart okay. Couldn't get the lacquer paint off so had to sand it where I could. Sprayed it Light Purple, but it looks like light blue in the photos. Let me know what you think. Last pic with iPhone camera, true color.
  22. Our Model Club motto: "You will soon forget what you paid for one, but you will never forget if you don't have one."
  23. I redid my one. That cured me of trying another. I will you much patience.
