OK Mopararians, When putting a straight axle under a 64 Belvedere do they remove the entire K frame and fab in motor mounts or just remove the steering linkage and spindle mounts ?

Happy American Model Car Day!

Back to the original topic. I did some quick research and found out that Congress actually stopped passing legislation for special days a while back but today mayors, cities, towns and states can declare their own. There are sites that for a fee will help you declare a Day, month etc, This apparently includes notifying the media. Or as the link reads you can just do it yourself. So if we or someone else wanted a National Model Day what day and how inclusive should it be (National Plastic Model Day National Model Building Day etc etc ? Should someone start a poll on date and title ? Just saying http://bostinno.streetwise.co/2013/10/04/on-national-taco-vodka-day-we-ask-where-did-these-arbitrary-national-holidays-originate/ -

Anybody have any success at making those plastic two piece split slicks look good ? Ran across a coupe pair in my tire box and thought I would give them a try.

Mecum Auctions

I was shocked today a 70 Superbird unrestored with only 9,880 miles looked like it was off the show room floor with the Hemi (most were 440's) only went up to $200K. This is coming up shortly . Very interested as I am starting a similar build https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0117-269781/1964-dodge-330-lightweight-hemi-honker/ -
Anybody watching the Mecum Auctions ? The no5 Batmobile did not sell yesterday but the Bat Cycle sold for $23K. Another(?) Batmobile goes on the block today https://www.mecum.com/auctions/kissimmee-2017/live/

Fireball Carbs?
Jon Haigwood replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks for the tips. Got my first set off. Love these carbs. Now to figure out the linkage and fuel lines. These will be going on a 426 Hemi with cross ram. -
Looking good. The drill bit clear cover does slide it just takes some coaxing at first.

Fireball Carbs?
Jon Haigwood replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I was highly impressed with his work. Carbs looks as thou you could hook up a fuel line and start an engine with them. -
Just received my order from Fireball (Best carbs I have ever seen) Any tips on how to remove them from the casting block? Thanks

As for the Thunderbird SC V6. Here are two I built for a 32 Ford 5w project. The one the left has the supercharger and intercooler but turned out to be to big for the 32 so I built the other one with an intake setup from a 5 liter HO.
