  1. The ones on the 61 Sunliner look similar to the aluminum ones I ordered. The ones I ordered were supposed to be for early 60's Mopar but were way over-sized even on 15" wheels. I had to turn them down some and round the edges. (Your cars look great by the way)
  2. I believe that full size or dog dish they all are wheel covers. This is what was originally called a hub cap. Covered the bearings on the hub.
  3. Found some Krylon clear-satin. Thanks . I will wait a few days before I spray some over the Banner Red. (after I try it on a test piece first)
  4. Do a search for "Car Song Builds" . Lots of stuff on a thread titled "Car Song Builds" (site:modelcarsmag.com car song builds)
  5. I could not find a Krylon semi-gloss or satin on their web site. I will look some more. Thanks
  6. Using Krylon paint and I want parts to have a semi-gloss finish. Which paints work the best ? I have tried Rustoleum satin clear and got crazing. Not sure if it is a paint incompatibility problem or the Krylon was not fully cured. Really don'twant to have to strip the paint off again. Thanks
  7. Most bell housing were painted engine color and auto's were natural aluminum
  8. Thanks gives me a good idea of the outcome
  9. Maybe a cross between these two in this color
  10. The wife has a good eye for finding things for me such a new or old Hotwheel Mustang or Mopar. She seems to find these kits at the Goodwill often (after I walk past them). She always asks me to buy or not and knows a few end up as "Parts". There is no emotional connection to a Pink Cad so I am free to do as I like with it. Still like the shorten thing with a Hemi , dropped with rubber band tires. I will keep you in mind highway if I don't use the stock ones
  11. The Wife came home from the Goodwill store with a Monogram 59 Pink Caddy kit. Complete partially built (engine, interior and chassis) unpainted and a clean job of gluing. For $3 is kinda of cool but I am not much on Cads. I thinking maybe drop a Hemi in it with some of those rubber band wheels and tires, dropped in to the weeds with some kind bright flake paint (maybe pink). Any ideas ?
  12. Graveyard Cars.Since I a building Mopars at this time I can get a lot of reference material from watching it.
  13. I gave up on trying drill the tiny holes and now just buy the Arrowhead Aluinum pre-wired. Come in several color and style choices and look the most realistic
  14. My local Hobbytown has a good selection of kits general at higher prices. Very little accessories for models. I am able to order aftermarket parts such as Model Car Garage and receive it in a reasonable amount of time with out the shipping charges
  15. Thanks. BMCP doesn't help much if you don't know what the letters represent.
  16. Is there a link to BCMP ? Can't seem to find it. Thanks
  17. Owner retired. I don't think anyone planned on reopening as a hobby shop since they clearanced out all their stock
  18. Bridgetown is now a Pot shop Tammies is about your best bet in the Portland area
  19. And I believe I'm free to post a link without any accompanying comments I am trying to remember the name of the movie where a couple and their daughter were driving across the dessert and some evil Hot Rodders were harassing them . Never mind Hot Rods to Hell 1967

  21. 427 OK . I am not a Chevy guy I just want to build a 64 with the 427 hood, glassed in headlights and the side pipes for my fishing buddy I have Monogram 65 Street machine and was wondering if I would need the 63? The hard part will be finding 10" Ansens for the front and 12" Ansens for the back
  22. What would it take to build a 64 with the 426 stinger hood with a 327 engine ?
