  1. So if I am reading this right there will be pre-decorated kits (painted) and non-decorated kits " ? If so this may bring in more young builders to the hobby.
  2. Maybe some inspiration for something a little different
  3. Getting a better view the emblem in the grill center appears to be a 58
  4. Years back I read where stores like KMart found models that had been opened they would toss them in the dumpster and fill a refund as explained above. I asked them if I could buy them and was told no. It was suggested that Y find out when they tossed them out and do some dumpster diving but not knowing the legalities of doing this and not likening the idea of being in a garbage can I refrained from such activity.
  5. They can have my Spray Paint when hey can pry it from my cold red hand
  6. They did not have dual headlights until 1958. The inner one is a turn signal on the 57. The one in the OP could be a 58 but the inner one looks smaller but it may just be me.
  7. Christine was a 58, that is a 57 IMHO But then I could be wrong and if I am Greg will certainly point it out Your results may vary
  8. trying to get my scanner working. as soon as I do I will post it
  9. I use a piece of metal tubing when trying to paint the center of a cap or any small round spot. I dip the tip of the tubing into the paint. I don't use much paint on it as it has a tendency to spread out. I set the part on a piece of tape to hold it in place and since my hands get a bit shaky I use both to bring the tubing straight down on the part. Practice on spare parts (Your results may very)
  10. Having owned a 1:1 I say it looks right and great. Nice Job
  11. Only the Editing staff, advertising and ad production were listed . The cover and bottom part of the first 8 pages are missing . There may be some credit information on the bottom of page 5 but I don't have it,
  12. I was paging thru some of my old car mags and ran across a cool 36 Ford drawn for the "off the sketch pad" in a June 1961 Rod Custom. I was a bit surprised that the artists name was never mentioned. Any body have any info on the artists off the past that made sketches for the Car mags ?
  13. I know this isn't one of the brands you asked for but it is a hobby-type gold. Autoair Metallic Gold over Autoair Chrome Yellow with Duplicolor Clear
  14. I picked up some beading wire at Michaels.
  15. Some how I misplaced my Dremel (Sears version) that I have had over 20yrs. Were I worked we would go through about 2 a year do to miss use, mostly over tightening the chuck. I always replace the chuck with a keyless chuck. I bought a HB cordless and it would not even charge. Returned it and picked up a corded one. The keyless chuck has different threads so it won't fit. The adapters I have different shanks sizes won't fit either. Wish I had my Dremel back.
  16. I already have the Revell lid with the louvers I want. It would be a lot more work to louver a flat lid than to take a little bend out of it.
  17. I have a AMT trunk lid. I want one with louvers
  18. I am trying to flatten out this Revell trunk lid to use on a AMT 32. I have tried putting it in these clip clamps and heating it up with a hair dryer and then letting it cool down. I have done this several times but it doesn't seem to be flattening out any. I don't want to apply to much heat and over flatten or warp it. Anybody have any better methods of doing this ? thanks Jon
  19. Looks great ,nice job
  20. I can't seem to post a link but at pontiacserver.com/tires it gives the actual dimensions of tire sizes
