Another thing to keep in mind is, even though lacquer goes on very thin, several coats will build up & "narrow" your body openings. If you have a particularly tight fitting hood, it's a good idea to shave it back a little to allow for the thickness of the paint. I learned this from using multiple coats on my bodies where I typically will use 4 coats of primer, 3 or 4 coats of color & up to 6 coats of clear. That can narrow your hood opening & widen your hood enough to where they will no longer fit if the gap is not widened prior to paint. Steve
