  1. Been on a Promo buying spree, have to stop myself from venturing on to eBay for awhile. I picked up this gem, probably will leave it in the box and not mess with it.
  2. Ordered a can of this from Wes's Model Car Corner today, $29 plus shipping.
  3. Joseph is still very much in business. He is extremely busy and takes a bit to reply. I placed an order on December 3rd and received it on January 10. He will get back to you with order total and an estimate of when you will get your order.
  4. From the Stevens International website, under Revell: REVELL GERMANY RVL-39628 150ml Acrylic Chrome Spray $34.99 Out Of Stock
  5. This is really a win-win for the hobby and Danny. He gets to enjoy retirement and get his health back without the stress of trying to get orders completed and ST Supply gets a great product to offer us modelers. I have a ton of product from Danny and will be a customer of ST Supply as I have more builds planned.
  6. This might help you, might not. I agree that taking orders without shipping or communicating is wrong, but until Chris speaks up or delivers, none of us can say what's the hold up.
  7. Yes, 299 Church Street, Spartanburg SC. It's at the Marriott Hotel, beautiful venue and is a great show! I will be there with some excess inventory to sell off, be sure to stop and spend some money!
  8. Considering Revell has been a few months behind on many releases recently, it could be 2024 before that C8 shows up, just in time for the refresh by Chevrolet.
  9. You would have to ask them, not sure.
  10. Sounds like a great business plan. I have yet to buy kits from those three listed places, I tend to spend either on eBay, FB model pages, internet hobby shops or in person swap meets. You'd think he would be better off setting up an account with a hobby distributor but what do I know?
  11. https://stores.smhracing.com/73-vega-wagon/ Here ya go!
  12. From their Facebook page................... AMT AWB AMT ’65 CHEVELLE – TIME MACHINE FUNNY CAR (1:25 SCALE) The Altered Wheel-base Chevelle returns with new tooling from AMT! This upcoming kit is a recreation of the original ’65 Chevelle AWB Time Machine Funny Car with improvements made along the way. A highly-requested kit, this dragster has been begging to be brought back for years, but the original tooling had been modified beyond return. We’ve gone through the process to create all new tooling from the ground up. We’ve also added black vinyl tires, and an expanded decal sheet! Due Mid-Year 2023. #AMT1302
  13. Got a Michael's gift card for my birthday and I went shopping. Had a 30% off coupon so snagged these two for about $40 plus tax. The truck will get weathered and the 32 Ford will be a full fender street rod.
  14. Ollie's has toys at a 33% markdown starting today, better get there before all the kits are gone and on eBay tonight!
  15. It's a shame they didn't do that. Olson Bros. did do the early conversion pieces you mentioned but have discontinued them. I did get one of their bodies, need to get it done.
  16. Just snagged another one off of eBay dirt cheap, this time a brown one. Have to see what I have for graphics for it, gonna be hard to make that brown look nice. Thanks for the comments.
  17. The mirrors from the C1500 would be better than the ones that were taken from the S10 Blazer. Not sure if Danny at Scenes Unlimited still offers his towing mirrors that would be an option for the C3500.
  18. Snagged this off eBay a while back, was gonna detail it but went with a wheel swap and some left over Z-28 stripes from a Revell kit. Have a full detail MPC kit to build in the stash, it will get more details and some performance mods.
  19. So I experimented with cutting the front clip off of a '70 B-M Camaro as part of an idea to build a garage diorama along with possibly the AMT Old Pro Nova kit that has the separate fenders. Haven't started on the Nova, gotta finish the garage, but got the '70 Camaro done for now.
  20. There was one on eBay recently, I dropped out of the bidding when it hit $50, ended up selling for $110, IIRC.
  21. One of the resin casters in Detroit offered this as a kit a while back. Not sure if it is still available.
  22. So why does every discussion about models at Hobby Lobby turn into a rant about the selection and the price of models today? For many of us, Hobby Lobby and Michael's are all we have when it comes to local sources of model kits, so we are happy to have them. Yes, model kits have become more expensive, but everything else has too. Yes, their selection is limited but they can't carry everything. Could be the manufacturers limit what they can buy as they plan production runs around the orders from HL and Michael's. And no, I do not need a lecture on what inflation is and how it has impacted the price of model kits and how they should be $20 and not $40. I have been in this hobby for over 50 years and remember when models were cheap and stocked everywhere.
  23. Here's a source for police car stuff.. http://www.customsquads.com/products.html
  24. When I ordered a set I also grabbed his wheels, haven't tried them on anything but can later tonight. I also have some Radial T/As from Fireball if you have a specific wheel and tire size combo you want me to check.
