There is a huge difference in how the kit wheel sits in the tire compared to the Fireball wheel and tire. Not sure what the reasoning is behind the ribs in the wheel but all of the Moebius Ford kits have them. For those of you looking for larger tires to go on the wheels, Fireball has some available, just not up on his website so a quick email to Joseph gets you an answer. I also checked the stash and I have some Scenes Unlimited tires and the T55D Michelin 16 inch truck tires have a lugger tread pattern and fit the wheels and are a bit taller.

Looking at that first picture I thought that was the real truck that you used for inspiration, but upon closer look it is the model! Wow, such a beautiful build!

That Bottoms Up version would be great to see reissued, forgot about that one. I have two of these in the WIP section of my work bench, with three more in the stash.

I believe the medical term is "conditioned response". I am guilty of falling for it.

If you look up Stevens International, they show what the MSRP is on kits and most of them vary between $29 and $39, just like Hobby Lobby has them priced. Do us cheap modelers pay MSRP? Most of us do not, we know which online sellers and LHS have discounted the prices of kits. And we always have the option of NOT buying a kit. To your point Tom about the discount increasing your sales- that is old fashioned marketing 101 logic. Same as the Buy One Get One scheme.

The Bushwhacker Jeep is the same as this kit- different decals. Maybe they will dig out some old stuff to add to it, will be interesting to see what they do as they have done both straight re-issues and added extras in kits as of late. This kit has been re-issued many times and it hasn't changed much over the years. The original issue back in the MPC days had it with a half cab, snow plow and V-6 engine. Since then it has had the old Hurricane 4 cyl engine.

I cringe at what the world will be for my kids (ages 25 & 29) in 20-30 years. I may or may not be alive then, but they will have to deal with the political fall out and ramifications of "green energy".

I live in Charlotte NC. They have proposed an ordinance that would require you to get a permit ($1,000) to remove a tree. Even if you replace it, you need a permit. All in the quest to improve the air quality. Meanwhile, to your point, there is a 40 acre tract near our house that has been targeted for development and they have cleared numerous trees and have many more to go, all in the name of progress! And what is going up in this development? A new elementary school and 375 housing units! Between the increased vehicle count from the housing units and the hundreds of cars spending time idling and in traffic while the school buses run 80% empty, not to mention the increased traffic, the pollution is only going to be worse! You have to love a politician's logic- "we need more schools because of the over development of the area" !

Opened up the kit and looked a little closer, here are some first impressions: 1. Warped parts?- none so far in my kit, checked the hood and frame and they look okay, better than other versions. 2. Tires- Look identical to the ones Fireball Modelworks has in their F-250 conversion kit. Nice wheels and tires, will look correct on the truck. 3. Snow Plow- compared to the one in the Revell GMC pickup, this one is taller and wider than that one. It looks more "heavy duty" and has two different light options; round like on the box art and rectangular like on the Revell kit. 4. Paint schemes/codes- Moebius did a great job listing out the various colors available from Ford and the different schemes. 5. Extra parts- They provided a list of part numbers that are extras in the kit, nice touch. I will get the chassis built this week, want to see how it looks and have some ideas for kit bashing already. These should be pretty popular, I think Wes Hurst at Wes's Model Car Corner sold out his first shipment but has more coming.

The only zero emission vehicle is the bicycle.

So like a kid at Christmas, I have been watching Wylde develop these grilles and parts with much anticipation. I placed an order through George Bojaciuk here and boy are these parts nice! Crisp, clean and printed in white resin. I have to get busy building up the squarebodies! George's prices are the same as Wylde's website and his shipping was FAST! I see that Wylde is now developing 73-80 grilles so another order will be put together soon. Awesome product and great service from both Wylde and George!

Ordered one of the Formula bodies from George last week, shipped it on Friday and was on my porch an hour ago. Beautiful looking body and parts, minimal cleanup needed.

Went to HL this afternoon to grab a couple of donor kits for upcoming projects. I knew HL on a Saturday would be busy, but trying to find a parking place was one thing, getting in the store and walking around was another! I made a bee line to the models, grabbed what I needed and went to the front of the store to check out. Every register was open and as near as I could tell, everyone was spending a LOT of money (except me!) as the lines were LONG and the carts were full. Took 10-15 minutes to check out but two kits for $38 with tax was worth it. Note to self- Don't go to Hobby Lobby on a Saturday! Cashier said it was non-stop since they opened at 9.

That is a deal. I just checked their website and they show them out of stock and priced at $29.09.

So I ordered from Pegasus Hobbies on Tuesday (11/15) in the morning and today (11/18) this showed up. Coast to Coast in 3 days, not bad service! I looked at it briefly, so I can't say what is and isn't warped (hopefully none of it is) but a quick look at the bags and instructions and it looks like a great kit. The plow is bigger than the one in the Revell GMC pickup and there are two plow light options, the round ones shown on the box and rectangular ones like in the Revell kit.

Those look very nice, you referenced Monogram, am I safe to guess that the current issue 70 T/A is the chassis/interior/engine donor? That might have to be added to my ever growing list #2 from you!

If you gotta have one of these NOW, Pegasus Hobbies (who own Moebius) have these in stock and are shipping them as of today. They also have a large selection of the Pegasus wheels in stock.

He casts to order. You need to email him and let him know what you want. He will then show the kit(s) in stock so you can order. My last order from him took about 2-3 weeks from order date to kit arriving at my house. Quality stuff for the money.

Well if they have to do a skin graft, the fanny is the usual donor place....

Not sure where you got $40 as the price of the kit, I paid $34.99 less 40% at Hobby Lobby, so for $20 plus tax I got the kit. And digging around I am sure I can find a set of wheels and tires left over from another kit to replace the plastic ones. Yes, they should have mentioned on the packaging that this was a snap kit BUT as mentioned, this particular kit was discussed here earlier and it was clearly a SNAP kit. Don't like it? Don't buy it. It really is that simple.

Have you checked out Too Many Projects on FB? Robert Burns offers a lot of resin bodies, he may have this one.

Thinking I will pre-order a couple, I do have several Fireball Modelworks 4x4 F-250 conversion kits for the others I want to build. Heard that this should be at distributors by Thanksgiving.
