Those tail light bezels look spot on Randy, that model is coming along nicely! -

Roger, I just checked the Modelhaus website and didn't see the conversion kit for the Jimmy, are you sure they have the parts? I want to build a Jimmy and I can't remember who had the parts, I thought it might be Bandit Resins but they aren't listed on their website either. If you have a link or a list of the part numbers, please share. -
Moebius 67-72 Ford Pick-up news
mikemodeler replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Thanks Tim, those looked like nice renditions and hopefully a sign of things to come. I did notice on the Tower Hobbies website that they have these listed for an April 2015 release, were you able to get any updates from Moebius on a release date? I ask because Tower tends to run a couple of months behind and the last word on here from Dave Metzner was possibly December 2014. I am saving my lunch money! -
They look great from here sir! Nice and clean details and paint, can't ask for much more!
-
As always, impressive work Tom! I never would have guessed that started as a wagon.
-
Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry Nice! Great details and super deep paint. I like it without the front bumper and the wheels are spot on.

Nice job on that Camaro, got a couple of them and need to get started on them soon!

The worst birthday gift Ive ever gotten

Before you show up in court, take the time to write down timelines and the action you took to try to find your father. If he wasn't in your life growing up, chances are he never paid child support, something worth mentioning to the judge. Detail what has happened since you made contact with your Dad, with information from other family members who have been a part of the experience, and the impact on your life since contacting him. Regardless if he has a medical condition, mental defect or is suffering from dementia, the agony and expense he has put you through is a shame and should not be allowed to go on. Not sure what the standard is for filing these claims with the court are, but if you can explain that he is in the wrong, he could be charged with false claims. You might want to contact the public defender or legal aid department of the county in Tennessee to see if they can help you with your defense. Maybe if you show up with a lawyer your father will see things differently and the nonsense will come to an end. Finally, if he has some financial resources and filing a lawsuit to recover your expenses for these false claims is a possibility, you should consider what is most important to you. Yes, he has caused you great pain (emotional and financial), but it will continue with your lawsuit, so sometimes it is better to "cut bait" and go on. I learned a long time ago it is best to move on and be the "better man", despite what we might feel in the heat of the moment. I wish you a belated Happy Birthday and more importantly, the best of luck with this latest drama. -
Never thought it would happen!
mikemodeler replied to Dragfreak's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It feels so much better when you can proudly say "I did it myself" than "My dad bought this". You will go far in life if your work attitude stays the same, and I am sure you will do well with your racing career too! Thanks for sharing and best of luck next season. -

Very nice, that is some serious scratchbuilding! -
I think this nails it. I agree that it seems like double jeopardy Harry, but they are not the same type of case. I think some tort reform is needed in this country, but the lobbyists for trial lawyers will probably not never let that happen.

Paging JeffB, paging JeffB ! I tried to message you, but your box is full! What is the cost on this fine piece of resin? -
I wonder how much "new" stuff will be revealed at the show? Can't imagine it has the same feel it did 15-20 years ago when I first went.

I might have an AMT Extra cab dually kit that this would fit under. Not exactly correct but would save some time scratch building a front axle and changing the frame, although if I use this for a flatbed wrecker, the kit chassis would need to be extended. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions! -
Not really Greg. Look at the O.J. Simpson case for an example where one can be "innocent" in one court and guilty in the other. The burden of proof in a civil trial is much lower. What will be interesting is if the civil case ever makes it to a courtroom as many times there are out of court settlements. As hard as it is for all involved, a civil case that goes to trial will likely bring up the past of both individuals and a lot of dirty laundry might get aired that reveals things about them we either didn't know or had forgotten. In light of the disclosure yesterday that there was marijuana in the victim's system and enough to be considered "impaired", one could argue that he contributed to his own death by using illegal drugs and may have been in violation of track rules. Regardless, what happened was avoidable and lives were changed as a result. I am sure if both Tony Stewart and Kevin Ward Jr. could have a "do over", this might not have happened.

Cost and availability? Donor chassis? I have a resin flatbed that would look great behind that cab! -
Thanks Gerry, appreciate the time you took to gather the information and share it with the forum. Glad to hear that Revell is lurking and listening, hopefully they will fix whatever problems they encounter through that monitoring of customer feedback. I agree with Harry that it would benefit them greatly to spend the time BEFORE a kit is released to ensure glaring issues are caught. I am sure they are like most companies today that are doing more with less but somehow I think they could find a couple of knowledgeable people to help them with final test shots. These could be local people with a 1:1 to compare it to or known model industry people who can research the subject for accuracy.

While the family may sue, my guess is that there will be an out-of-court settlement.

That question should be directed at Gregg, it's his to discuss if he wants.
