  1. I started working on a few of the many WIPs that have been sitting on the bench last night. I am trying hard to finish some of them so I can have a clean bench and focus on some new projects come spring. I'd list them out but I am embarrassed by the number of them!
  2. James, Like others, sorry this saga continues and I can't believe that he is allowed to continue to waste the court's time. Hopefully he will test the judge's patience one too many times and find out how the judicial system treats abusers of the law. Continue to take the high road and take solace in the fact that you have done nothing wrong, peace of mind is priceless. I hope that this is resolved quickly for you.
  3. Congrats and be careful, what might look like green grass elsewhere could be well fertilized turf!
  4. Could not have said it better Tom! As a kid in the early 70's, we played baseball in the summer, football in the fall, rode our bikes everywhere and most of us were into cars in some shape or fashion. I remember kits being in the $2-5 range, and it meant raking a lot of leaves, taking soda bottles to the store or saving up my allowance to afford them! I remember learning how a car went together as a kid from building models and asking older kids questions. My love of cars as a kid has lead to my career in the auto parts industry and I still enjoy learning about mechanical things to this day, whether it be in 1:1 or scale plastic!
  5. Thank you veterans, past & present, for the freedom you provide us citizens.
  6. Planning on being there, hopefully I will have a vendor's table and will be unloading some kits that I won't be building in this lifetime!
  7. Very nice! Coming along and anxious to see this one done.
  8. Always nice to build a tribute car and it sure helps to have it on hand for measurements. Looking forward to seeing this one done.
  9. That is looking sweet! Nice to see something other than red or hugger orange. Where did you get the wheels?
  10. I am with Casey, if you want to build one for yourself go ahead but the market for them might make it hard to be profitable.
  11. Had plans to attend and then life got in the way! Hopefully next year will see me in Atlanta for this show! Thanks for sharing Tom, looks like a bunch of nice models once again.
  12. Looking very nice and should be a great one when done. I am surprised none of the resin casters have offered the corrected short bed and /or long bed along with the corresponding chassis for this kit, especially since it is readily available at places like Hobby Lobby!
  13. Anybody know what happened to this store? I drove by there last night and they were closed, empty shelves. I was in there a couple of months ago and it appeared that there was a new owner who was trying to revamp the store. While his prices were not competitive, he did have a nice selection of paint that was helpful to have.
  14. This could also be a nice Haz Mat response fire unit or command unit. With Hostess making a comeback, it would also make a nice bread/snack truck too!
  15. I don't have my RM&Co of Maryland catalog with me on the road but I know Norm has some resin hoods for Camaros and has a stock, flat one for a '69, not sure if he has one for 67/68.
  16. Coming along nicely, great details and I am anxious to see this one done.
  17. That is a straight re-pop of the original kit longbed. The only one I know of who was casting the short bed was Bandit Resins.
  18. Stopped in at the local HTU just to browse.....$51 later I have another set of the AMT Polyglas tire sets, the SA Contest issue and the new Revell ZL1 prepainted kit. I have had a mental block at the workbench and think knocking out the ZL1 and thumbing through the contest issue will give me a spark.
  19. Nice looking truck Chuck! I envisioned a black primered, top chopped rat rod build when I saw the topic !
  20. Check with The Modelhaus, Don casts some nice resin tires including the Goodyear Suburbanite Snow tires and some off road tires too.
  21. You forgot the '72 Chevy Blazer Casey!
  22. That grill is available from The Modelhaus.
  23. Hoping that someday soon he will have the long awaited Travelall and maybe even an old Cornbinder pickup (D series)! I'm really hoping that someone would come out with an old Scout, early to mid 60's era!
  24. I just checked and it is $18.00 to get into the show. Going to probably pass on going, daughter has a MCJROTC event that takes priority and won't be able to get there until mid afternoon and wouldn't be able to see the whole show.
  25. Snake, Do you know what number that Testors teal is? I have a friend that has a 67 Camaro in Tahoe Turquoise that I intend to replicate and would rather use the Testors than to get some from a paint store or MCW. TIA!
