Auto Transport
Petetrucker07 replied to boyesreef's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looks great. I like what you've done here. If you don't mind, here's 2 pics of the one I've built, not finished yet though. One pic is next to a Moebius 53'er with an Italeri Volvo, the other pic is it outside, partially loaded. -
American Truck Simulator

If it's the one by Rambo, all the reviews say how terrible it is. All they get are ebay ads, no control, game functions are very lacking. And that's from the people who can even get it to open. -

Dam phone. I tried to save a different pic and it saved a Tesla. Here's the pic I intended to post. -

I saw a car I've never heard of, let alone seen. It was a Fisker Karma EV. I'm guessin it's Teslas competition l. I didn't get a pic of the car when it went by me, but here's a Google image of one just like I saw. -
Actually he died on Thursday. Even not being a hockey fan, I still knew of him. Very sad to see him go.

My wife got a call like this. She called me kinda freaking out. I told her the IRS does everything by mail. And 2nd of all, they called the home phone. We have no idea what the house number is to give it out or put it on anything. A buddy of mine, his mom gets a scam call 3 or 4 times a month. She's gotten this "lawsuit" call about 10 times.

What do you drive?
Petetrucker07 replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is what I drive most of the time. Mine is the one on the right with polished stainless tailgates. -
Just put my preorder in.

A truckers view of mother nature.

The first is the vapor trail from a meteor over Arizona Thursday morning. The car in front of me is a Porsche. I didn't catch what model, but I did read Porsche. -
Another great...gone. sad that he is gone. Heard too that he was in the hospital and not doing well, near death was choice of words I was told. RIP Muhammad Ali. Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee. You were the greatest.

Your right. I forgot about his refusal of surgery because of his beliefs. I don't think it was so much the surgery as it was the blood transfusion that would be required that kept him from doing the surgery. Still a shame.

Read that earlier today. Perscription meds are are a SOB. Another star gone due to them. These Dr's are too quick to hand them out like candy. I know he was in pain and had physical issues. But I'm sure there was a better way to go about dealing with the pain and doing something to correct it, rather just shove pills down his throat.

Hay Haulers and Flat Beds..
Petetrucker07 replied to 10thumbs's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It could be caused by almost anything. It gets hot down here, up to 120 degrees and the road surface can up to 200! Cig butts, a spark from a dragging chain, ive seen a few go up from a brake or bearing going out, to someone doing deliberately. When hay gets dry, it's like dry brush fire or old Christmas tree, it doesn't take much. -

It is kinda crazy that rope front to baback is what secures the load. Some will throw a few cross straps 3 or 4 and that's it. I've seen a few go up in flames in the summer time, not pretty. -

Saw this Friday leavin the yard. A very nice, 31 Ford, Flathead with Offenhauser heads. I heard there's a very clean Ford like the ZZ Top car around there too. -

The squeeze is just a fancy, street legal forklift. The pic I posted is a super fancy, show squeeze. Here's what it looks like at work. It loads a bunch of bales at one time.
