Thank you kindly!

Thanks to all for the nice comments. This was a great kit to put together and other than a few instructional miscues it is a well engineered piece. It might take a bit of imagination to get the front lower than I did, but could be done. The interior is very easy to put together and dresses up well. I enjoyed putting the engine and chassis together and it only took weathering to make it pop. All the fit and finish for all the pieces where well thought out. The color is a 57 Ford factory choice, Carol Sand and my choice for using it was basically because I hadn't seen it used yet. The "Support Vehicle" theme seemed natural to me. The weathering and spots in the paint help give this wagon that used feel and over all turned out pretty nice. Thanks again for the interest, J2.

The recently released Monogram 57 Ford Del Rio. Sitting on a set of Revell 32 Ford wheels and tires. Lowered the front, wired the engine and basically weathered for that slightly used look. Tamiya Racing White and MCW Coral Sand polished without clear. Got a little junk in the back and a few decals, thought it would make a cool support vehicle at the track.

So JustBill's 40 Ford Custom has me thinking about how I would build a period correct car. I have wanted to do one for some time but was some what intimidated by the body work. I'm thinking it would be a perfect winter time project, and I've started the research and search for the build. I'd like to get a couple kits before starting, (Newton's law you know!) The question for me is: Which model kit is the best to start with? Post your suggestions, builds or in-progress models.

I'll get some pics after I make the fix. To be honest, I didn't even think about the door lines.

Thanks again guys. -
Well I have been stuck in the wading pool for a long time wanting to build a 40 Custom. Your sir are drawing me to deeper water! Thanks for sharing this project, I am following.

Yes and thanks for saying something.

Thanks guys, I think the trim adds just enough to make it better. The lights are from a 58 Chevy.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna let it sit before polishing then add BMF. Wings Wheels and Waves

You may remember this build, I call "Tang" After showing this car last weekend I realized it needed some better detail. Tonight I made and Baremetal Foiled some trim pieces to separate the two tone paint.
