1. I know that somewhere I say announcement of a modelers swap meet in Gardner, KS on 3/20. But now I can't find the info anywhere. Does anyone know if this is true or just old age memory lapse? 2. If you are a KC area modeler share with me some good hobby shops in the KC area. My wife is out of town for a week and I am anticipating a solo road trip. Thanks.

My 10 year old corded, 5 speed Dremel died today. I've been looking for a replacement. I am open for suggestions. Let me have it?!?!?! Thanks.

I always appreciate a new T-shirt--especially from my favorite mag. This is not to be a negative or a whine but why black--yellow, navy, gray but not black. Black is too hot for hot summer days in the midwest. I think it sends a message to some people that is not how I want to be perceived. Thanks for the chance to deposit my $.02.

Gregg Went Off The Deep End
Bruce Poage replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So I am assuming you are feeling better now!! I know you probably can't drive something like this in a prone position! -
At several car shows I have seen models displayed on a mirrored display stand that is canted so it is easier to see the undercarriage. I remembered seeing these advertised in a hobby publicationat one time but have not seen them lately. Can someone point me in the direction of the source for these stands. Thanks!

So I am detailing a sedan delivery and looking at new ideas for a headliner. It seems as though somewhere, sometime I read about using some kind of medical or first aid tape as a good headliner material. It was supposedly easy to work with, could be painted and--best of all, the price was right. I'd appreciate any ideas from someone who might have used this material. Trying to stay warm in NE Kansas!!

I have seen many suggestions for using sanding paper and a block or form as opposed to the sanding pads that I have been using. What are some random thoughts regarding using sanding blocks instead of the pads. Secondly what is a good source for different shaped foam, i.e. curved, narrow, forms? Thanks. I know I will get some great information as always.

On January 1, 2010 there will be a blank spot on bulletin board. That is where my 2009 Model Cars Magazine is currently hanging. No new calendar from Model Cars Magazine? Not enough interest maybe. Maybe Gregg realizes he has too many irons in the fire! I've got to have a car calendar. What's the scoop?

So I find myself, like many other model car guys using a lot more acrylic paints for interiors, etc. I have been told a red sable brush is best. Be that as it may. Acrylic washes out with water quite easily. But I have heard that it is best to clean acrylic brushes with alcohol. Does anyone have any advice or experience that I can use to preserve these brushes.

What a fabulous tutorial. I've been building since--Highway Pioneers and learn something new everyday. You spoke quite highly of the polishing cloths. What is your opinion/observation of the pads that can be used for the same purpose? On this day I give thanks to God for the time, resources and support I have to pursue this fun hobby. Please pass the turkey

1. As with many other builders I find myself using more acrylic paints. In my case I find them especially good for detail and interior work instead of enamel. The question is what type of brushes are best. Are some brushes, i.e. red sable better for acrylic than enamel? 2. I am trying the use of a dehydrator to dry enamel prior to wet sanding and two finish coats. What would be the recommended amount of time to "cook" the paint at about 105 degrees before wet sanding and finish coating?

I enjoyed the 2009 Model Cars Magazine. It hangs on the hobby room bulletin board. As I have heard nothing about a 2010 calendar am I too assume there won't be a 2010 edition? Hoping there is!!

How to avoid the Swine Flu
Bruce Poage replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A friend of mine, a Financial Peace University budget coach describes Swine Flue as that terrible achy, crampy feeling he gets when he reads more stories of spreading pork from our esteemed liberal Congress. Amen!! -
On of those would look good in the back window of my Dakota. I interested too(two)!

I am looking for a '61 Falcon sedan delivery body. Does anyone have a lead on where to find one? Secondly I am also looking for a '61 Falcon convertible or sedan. It seems to me I remember a two door hardtop kit about the time I was a freshman in college(1962). With all of these falcons one would get the opinon my hobby room is "goin' to the birds"! I'm always thinking about a new project. Thanks!

Gregg, what's the delivery time on the new Model Cars T-Shirt. My order is coming up on 4 weeks. I was just checking on the delivery time so I would know if there has been a bump in the road somewhere. Thanks.

I've read about it and now I've done it. I had a resin body too long in the dehydrator with too much pressure from my paint rack. Thus the lleft rear quarter panel could now house one huge "meat"--and the paint was looking so good!!. So now I need another '58 Chevy sedan delivery resin body. I don't see any on the Jimm Flintstone website. I'll appreciate any leads!!

I've got a new project in mind. I need a 1961 Falcon sedan delivery/panel as well as a 1961 sedan or convertible. If you know of a good caster of these pieces please share the source. Thanks.
