  1. That's true of about 25% of the English language at the moment. Word abuse has grown exponentially in recent years.
  2. Please, let's not discuss Vietnam in this thread. There are other venues for that on the net, not here. I'd hate to see more good people get in trouble here.
  3. Sounds like you're pretty much on top of things. At least the billet and pastel trends of the '80s/'90s seem to be dead. Personally, I find the hot rods of the mid to late '60s to be timeless in style and appeal. They still look good to me.
  4. There were COPO Novas in '68 and '70, but they weren't 427s. Yenko, Motion, and maybe a few others built some 427 '69 Novas.
  5. Neither the COPO Camaros or Chevelles had SS markings, though they did have some SS equipment.

Magnificent! You can be very proud of this one. Well done and model on!
  7. This morning I put flowers on the grave of my high school best friend's parents. They were always very good to me and I was sort of the "unofficial 4th brother" of the family. The rest of the family has now scattered around the country and there's no one in town to do it but me, and I consider it an honor and privilege to be able to do so. My friend and his brothers appreciate it very much.
  8. Pretty cool! The price isn't bad considering it's a lifetime supply of raw material for custom (and missing) taillights.
  9. Totally stolen from another forum: If you happen to see me out jogging somewhere, please, PLEASE shoot whatever is chasing me!
  10. That came out pretty cool! You have WAY more patience than I ever had or ever will, my friend. Model on!
  11. IIRC, you should be able to see some lightening in a couple of days, full bleach-out can take a week or more. As always, your mileage may vary. If there's no change at all after a week, it's not gonna work. You want to make sure the window gets plenty of direct sunlight. I've had good luck thumbtacking decals to a piece of cardboard and then putting that in the back window of my car (package tray). I've had VERY good results with sun-bleaching decals, I think I've only had one or two sheets where it didn't work. Good luck!
  12. Politely ask a moderator to move it back.
  13. So what's "weird" about that?
  14. Agree completely. Plus which, you can't take the puter into the john with you to read, or out on the back porch, or over to your sister-in-law's house, or into a meeting at which you might have to wait a half-hour for the suits to show up, or a million other places you can take a magazine. I want my MAGAZINES, dimmit!
  15. Well now I have to ask: Do you think she's more than semi-hot, or less than semi-hot? (I described her as such because I think she's attractive, but also annoying for some reason I can't quite put my finger on.)
  16. Let it go, Lee.
  17. And make your whole house smell like rotten eggs in the bargain, too! NO EASY-OFF, SUPER CLEAN, OR ANYTHING ELSE WITH LYE/SODIUM HYDROXIDE ON ALUMINUM! EVER!!!
  18. What used to be Petersen (dunno what it's called now) stopped publishing just about all car magazines except Hot Rod and Motor Trend at the end of the year. I read about it on the net--they never even bothered to contact me about my SUBSCRIPTIONS to Car Craft and Musclecar Review. I gotta call and give them an earful about that one of these days.
  19. I didn't until you mentioned it.
  20. VERY NICE! Even better than mine, which I'm pretty proud of. Well done, model on, and don't be such a stranger!
  21. Magnificent! I've been wondering where you were. We've missed you!
  22. I just bought an original annual AMT '66 T-bird off eBay just because it included ONE part I need that's not in any of the reissues.
  23. Great post! Do you think we were separated at birth?
  24. 40's pretty quick. It'll go to 80+ before it gives up. It gave me Shelby when I was trying to get to Bill Jenkins. It does have Da Grump in its database, so I suspect I gave it a couple incorrect answers. It did get both Big Chief and JJ Da Boss of Street Outlaws, though.
  25. Very very VERY cool! You know I love this stuff! Glad I was able to help out with the headers. Model on!
