  1. They could call it The Peephole's Court.
  2. That color looks remarkably close to my Model Master Arctic Blue.
  3. The Lovely Mrs. Snake was summoned for jury duty this week. When we called the appointed number Friday night, the message said that court had been cancelled for this week, and she would be rescheduled for some unspecified future date. With any luck, it'll be sometime in Nevertober.
  4. Definitely one of my very favorite songs of the 21st Century. When they performed this version on TV last night, I got chills, and when it was over I giggled like a little girl:
  5. Other handy Dog Rules can be found here: https://unijokes.com/joke-332/
  6. Hmmmmm. About all you can do is watch for him to re-list it. Or you could email back asking for a picture of the damage. Tell him there are certain parts you're interested in and it's very possible the parts you want are still usable and you're still interested in doing the deal. If he won't send you a pic, that's a big clue.
  7. That old kit is so bad that, ironically, there's almost no bad way to build it (except to try to make a superdetailed factory stock from it). The best thing to do with it is just have some fun with it, and it sure looks like you did. One of the better builds of the old crock I've ever seen. Well done and model on!
  8. The Corvette's actually not too far off in size. SHAPE, however, is another story.
  9. You reminded me of a favorite old joke: You know that little purple spot in the middle of bird poop? You know what that is? It's MORE BIRD POOP, ya dope!
  10. And why are the zombies so into earth tones? You NEVER see one wearing bright red or yellow or even a festive floral print. Yeah, I know we're ten years in and they're filthy, but you'd think that every now and then you'd see a newly-dead who had a festive spirit or sense of style.
  11. One of my very first model cars was a Palmer '66 Mustang GTO. Yes it actually said GTO on the box. I bought it because it was 99 cents and the AMT kits were $1.50. Fifty cents was a lot of money to a 11 YO kid in those days. I never made THAT mistake again. You get what you pay for.
  12. Good eye! Reminds me a bit of a '40 Ford hood. Probably isn't, but might be from something of the era....
  13. And what kept exploding at Hilltop last night? Couldn't have been an ammo dump--they've been out of ordnance for a while. Was that their carefully hoarded and rationed gas for Darrell's motorcycle? The last part of last week's episode and the first part of this week's reminded me of the camp attack in The Green Berets. I kept expecting someone to yell "Hit the pool gas!" I know the TWD team are big pop culture fans, and love to work in little homages and "Easter eggs." I wonder if any of the Green Berets look/feel was deliberate, or just coincidental?
  14. I wonder if Negan grabbed Alpha's howdah? That could come in handy in a fight with Beta.
  15. Oh relax. The typical Costco or Walmart is no worse than the garbage-truck riot scenes in Soylent Green.
  16. RE last night's episode: I did not see THAT coming!
  17. I've had this lyric running through my head ever since my brother-in-law unexpectedly dropped dead a couple weeks ago: They say Jesus will find you wherever you go, But when He'll come looking for you, they don't know.
  18. Imagine how happy I suddenly am that I was laid off first of February! I've been in self-quarantine for six weeks now, and loving every minute of it. (That's how I've gotten 16 model cars finished so far this year.)
  19. Here's mine, for $17 plus shipping. Such a deal! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ertl-Federated-Auto-Parts-1969-Ford-Mustang-Boss-302-1-24-Scale-New/273615542554?hash=item3fb4c1d91a:g:yIYAAOSw8R9cGDoJ
  20. I'm trying to get the grilles detailed on a "survivor" '69 Cuda I'm rescuing, and a diecast '70 Cuda that is getting it treatment of Snake-Fu.
  21. That's if you can find them at Rite Aid. Elsewhere they sell for up to $30. I've bought some for good prices from diecastmodelswholesale.com, usually between $15 and $20.
  22. Thanks for the details, much appreciated. I think I might have the same basic model, but mine's blue with spurious Federated race markings and Torq-Thrust type wheels. IIRC, I measured it once and it's 1/25. I'm thinking of doing something with it, as the front end looks MUCH better than the Revell kit, even the new revised one. Thinking of removing all the tampo, and then putting the Boss decals from the Revell kit on it. I just took the Federated tampo off a '64 GTO, what a nasty, nasty job THAT was! I had hours in it. The nail polish remover (thanks again for that tip, BTW!) would break the stuff down but then just smear it around, not really remove all of it. I discovered that if you hit it immediately after that with rubbing alcohol, that would take the smears off fairly easily. The GTO is silver, too, which didn't help much. I'm hoping it will be easier on the blue, and I think the blue paint can be polished, worse comes to worst.
  23. In some ways, Jay is a much matured, laid-back Al Bundy. But I think Jay is actually a much funnier character.
  24. Looks good! Tell us what you did to it.
  25. Hmmmm, never heard that. Where I come from, "How nice for you"--with the emphasis on the "for"--means "I could not possibly care less about whatever it is you're talking about, and you are boring me nearly into a coma."
