I made what contribution I could. But sorry, golf just doesn't interest me at all. IMHO, golf would be a much better game if played from moving motorcyces, and against the clock.

Couple years ago I got pulled over for not having a new sticker on my plate. I HAD it, I just forgot to put it on. Cops checked it on the computer and told me I was registered, just told me to get it on there and let me go on my way. So if it's registered, you probably won't get arrested or hauled away for it.

HAHAHAHAHA! I didn't say a word. Looking forward to seeing it done, but many of us also get distracted with side projects.

Got nothing to do with the movie. It's in the kit--the roof is too flat, and is very often flattened down a bit from packaging. But it's not difficult to fix, and makes a BIG difference in the appearance of the finished model.

AMAZING paint! Well done and model on!

I just built a (prepainted) Revell metal-body '62 Corvette coupe that came in a real '62 color I think was called Fawn Beige. Your paint looks remarkably close to the color on mine. Drive on!
-
You're right, that paint's not too far from Emberglow, one of my favorite Ford colors. Nice work! Well done and model on!
-
I feel your pain. But, you now have another chance to fix the roof.

Very, VERY nice, very clean! Well done and model on!

Very nice, and the color is very close to '69 Chevy Frost Green. Well done and model on!

Kool Kat, you're in! I'll add your name to the list (right now if I can edit, at next update if I can't). Better hurry up, you've only got about 3 weeks left now. Cool project BTW. GITTER DONE! -

parts needed for 67 camaro build and advice
Snake45 replied to donniedee's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The AMT '67 and '68 Z/28 kits have the hood you want, but it might require some tweaking or modification to fit your Revell body. Your kit has the desirable "stinger" hood; perhaps someone here would like to swap hoods with you. -
Revell 1969 Mustang Boss 302............My take with pics!
Snake45 replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The whole front end's still not right, but it is hella better than it was before. I guess this is about as good as we're gonna get, unless Round 2 finds some way to resurrect the original AMT annual, which I just don't see happening. -
"Bring Out Your Dead" Completion Build--ROUND 2 Is On!
Snake45 replied to Snake45's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Me too. So far I've finished three stalled projects, one going all the way back to 1969 or '70, and it looks like I'll finish another one at least this round. And I've got enough stuff on my Shelf of Doom to keep me participating for probably a couple years. I hope we can keep up the momentum. -
"Bring Out Your Dead" Completion Build--ROUND 2 Is On!
Snake45 replied to Snake45's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This round ends March 31. (If you think you can get something done by then, Tom, you're still welcome to join this round.) If there's a Round 3, it will start April 1 and run to the end of June (3 months, or quarterly). Whether or not there's a Round 3 depends on interest. If eight people (other than me) declare they're in, we're on (and I'll join in). We'll do this after the end of March. Now, the recent board change preventing edits poses a problem. Should we let this thread run with "Round 2" still in the title, or start a new thread? I'd love to let this thread run. Maybe we can ask a mod to edit the the thread title at that time, or something. As they say on The Walking Dead, "We'll figure it out." -
Looks like a Fisher-Price My First Pimpmobile.

This round ends at the end of this month, March 31. -
I finally had to order one from Southern Motorsports Hobbies. Had it in my hands four days later.

Did I need to spell out that you take the part OUT of the hot (not at that point still boiling) water before you press on it?

Superbird and Mdlbldr, fabulous progress! Drive on! Atmobile, I've added you to the list and you'll be in the next update. Welcome to the build and GITTER DONE! -
We already have a perfectly fine '68 El Camino kit. If they'd want to give us a '69, though, I'd buy at least one.
-
VERY sharp, VERY clean build--one of the best I've seen! Well done and model on!

The '53 Stude was FAR ahead of its time. IMHO, the rest of Detroit didn't start catching up until about the '61 Thunderbird. But being so far ahead, they had nowhere to go with the design to go but backwards, so started gooning it up with tacky chrome, tail fins, grilles, and other unneeded garbage to meet the rest of the market in the kitschy middle.
