  1. I checked a Tractor Supply yesterday. No "toys" at all, no Wellys. There are a couple CVSs in my area. I'll have to check those out, too.
  2. Very, very nice! I'm in the process of rebuilding a glue bomb AMT '65 roadster into a road racer using the kit parts from an AMT '66 roadster, and you are inspiring me to get that one done! (That is high praise coming from me, BTW.) Well done and model on!
  3. Another one from my new Big Box O Glue Bombs: Original Monogram '55 Chevy convertible, built as a custom. It's missing one headlight lens and one of the lakes pipes, both could be easily replaced. The T-Birdish top was once glued on but is separate now and could be used in a restoration or not. The fender skirts are glued on, I don't know how securely. All four wheels with whitewall tires are here, as is the custom grille. This one is probably in good enough condition that the nice aqua/turquoise plastic could be polished up and the thing displayed as a real "period piece."
  4. If I wanted that color, I'd start with either 1970 Ford Grabber Green or MiG Cockpit Green and add white till it looked right. But you want acrylic, so it might be even easier: Go to Walmart, AC Moore, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby and check out the acrylic craft paints. I'd be willing to bet that you can find something close to an exact match, and at a fraction of the price of typical "hobby" paints.
  5. I'll play along. Here's mine.
  6. Got another Revell '67 Camaro. A while back board member Ewetwo sent me a bunch of cool old original AMT annual '67 Camaro custom parts, including hood, taillights, and two different custom grilles. The plan is to to use them on the new Revell to create a retro old-school custom, something you wouldn't even think of doing to a complete, restorable original AMT '67 Camaro. I'm leaning toward painting the thing purple, just because I don't have a purple 1st Gen Camaro and there's no way to build a factory stock 1st Gen Camaro unless you count '67 Royal Plum. I need a purple Camaro for my Roy G Biv Camaro collection!
  7. Very nice! My favorite is the '60--beautiful job!
  8. You didn't say it, someone else did.
  9. Interesting! I think I have a spare Mopar Pro Street chassis from an AMT '69 GTX--you're making me want to build it as a second chassis for mine. A modern "Switcher," if you will.
  10. Nice one-piece (not flip-nose) MPC '57 Vette bodies are getting harder to find. That one's not too far gone to be brought back. The common backbirth flipnose gasser kit can provide a new windshield, windshield frame, top, and whatever body trim parts you'd need. That one would make a nice "Day Two"--no need to radically customize it.
  11. Okay, the value of signed TAs might go up because he won't be signing any more of them. But all Trans Ams, or all black ones? Shouldn't have any impact on the value at all.
  12. I see other Corvair parts in that box (engine, exhaust, custom rear grille), so I'd say that Corvair is still a viable candidate.
  13. I think I've got one of every AMT '63-'67 Vette kit, coupe and roadster, and I don't recall ever seeing those wheels in any of them.
  14. I like it--a LOT--but it's not a '29.
  15. I've been wondering where you were! Now where's StevenG, CanCon, GTX6970, and our other resident Glue Bomb Heroes? These builds rate some serious RESPECT!
  16. Another goodie from my new Big Box O Glue Bombs: Original annual AMT '65 Impala convertible, with the radical wild custom front end and full bubbletop. Looks like it's missing the right front bumperette and the custom taillights, and some of the custom seat cushions (easily scratchbuilt), but looks very restorable/rebuildable, and looks like fun to do so. (If this just happens to be somebody's "holy grail," though, I might be talked out of it for a trade of something equally interesting.)
  17. Just got an email saying my Last Order has been shipped.
  18. I've had one in the Snakepit for several years. Ran across it the other day, and I think it's going to get slotted into my To Do List very near the top. Will probably Snake-slap mine together with the minimum effort necessary to get an acceptable model to sit on the shelf. What are you going to do with yours?
  19. Why? He didn't make them.
  20. Fabulous work on all three! You are truly a Glue Bomb Hero! Drive on!
  21. Westbound and Down: Just heard that Burt Reynolds has died at 82. Keep the shiny side up, Bandit. We'll miss you.
  22. Gotcha beat, Cobraman. I built this one in late 1966 or early 1967. It was one of my first spray paint jobs (Pactra Lemon Yellow), and my oldest surviving intact paint job.
  23. Didn't it used to be some kind of '40 Ford?
  24. '62 Vette in Honduras Maroon...Man, it just don't get much better than that! Well done and model on!
