  1. Welcome aboard Mitch!
  2. Welcome! Kind of a "newbie" myself but I found out in a hurry this group of builders are probably the best you'll find. Lots of inspiration, great ideas and tips....all around the place to hang out! Hope your experience is the same, and again, welcome ?
  3. Just give em a coat of luster reducer...aka dullcote. Always works for me! Probably not the first time this has been mentioned!
  4. Wows! What an inspiration! I'm in the middle da Tamiya Kawasaki H2R....hope it turns out half as nice as this masterpiece ??
  5. That's a nice looking bike. Saw that kit at BNA, thinking It would be fun! even with the troubles and issues you had with it.....sure looks good to me!
  6. Never attempted a plane build, but might just have to give one a whirl seeing this beauty! Nice job??
  7. I'm willing to bet that advice came from Sid Deitch....woundedbear himself- that right? Totally agree with you that the builders on this forum are spectacular
  8. One word- gorgeous! You pulled that off as well as anyone ever could have! ?? So what scale is that bad boy?
  9. That's got Steve McQueen written all over it! Super sweet build sir?

Yes sir, can't go wrong with that color combo. Really nice job! Is the build box stock?
  12. That's awesome! Did a great job with shakin things up a bit with those mods. Kudos to you ?
  13. How can anyone not love the 49 Merc I ask?! Clean build you have there! Curious....did you use the Molotow chrome pen on some of your chrome?
  14. Just to add, you are correct about the skilled builder here. Probably the best forum out there.
  15. Doing the Tamiya Kawasaki HR2 to get back into "building shape" Gotta do these Ferraris justice! I'll post a couple pics when it's complete.
  16. That's actually a pretty cool kit. The tubbed chassis alone is great! Not a real AMT fan, but this kit goes together well Looking forward to your progress
  17. That paint is awesome! 2 thumbs up and a couple kudos to boot!
  18. You nailed that one! Good looking Jag.
  19. It's just my opinion, but I've found that the Tamiya kits are generally better. By better, I mean crisp, clean and very sharply detailed. There is never flash, and the way they pin them to the sprue is close to perfect. I'd say you did a great job with that car, and look forward to your next?
  20. WOW! Can't find the words to describe this creation! Love the diorama work as well. Quite an accomplishment
  21. That's looking great! The issues with good ol BMF? Have you tried the (reasonably) new Molotow liquid chrome markers? They're wonderful ?
  22. Yep, you've got some fabulous Fords there! Always have been a Ford fan, and you definitely did these justice! Nice job?
  23. Nice clean work ya got going on there...definitely plan on following along!
