  1. for internet I shop at Tower Hobbies. Good selection and if you join their club you get great discounts and free shipping if your order is over 100 buck. Locally I go to Pegasus Hobbies here is So Cal
  2. Very Interesting and creative. Great Job.
  3. It is not the hippie hemi although you could probably make it work. The CS has two panes in the driver area that have the frame engraved onto them. I also think it is considerably longer than the HH although you can fix that with a little rod. A different frame would probably look better than what was in the kit and with a little scratch work would probably be better than as boxed.
  4. Hey I recognize a bunch of people in pict 153 Especially the BEST OF SHOW builder not me and the other two old farts the guy looking towards the camera.
  5. Just got in from the Citrus Nationals. New venue with tons of space and better yet Great Lighting! We have tons of extra room here so if you can make it to So Cal next year this show is worth the trip. I forgot to charge my camera so I only got 60 some picts. Lots of amazing cars. Paul Rowes Pro Mod was beyond beliveable and received Best of Show. And even better was was a lot of Kewl Vw's Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Link to picts http://public.fotki.com/djway3474/model-car-shows/citrus-nationals-2011/
  6. Price may be a little high but did you read that you should expect at least a 6 month wait? Add your own internal commentary.
  7. I have seen several versions of the BRM wheels. One set was white metal and another of the exact same mold was in resin. I got another BRM version with the glue in wide five on ebay. that set pops up every now and then The BRM is the most sought after wheel ever. If you want to do 48 ida webbers you need to look around as most that I have seen in resin are way too small for a 1/24. the intake manifolds are easy to scratch. You can make your own nerfs if you want. I am working on a master for the sandwinder baja bug but it will be a while before it is done. The bead cones do look good but I could never find them and only got some from our friend a few post above. Exhaust you will have to scracth out. Seats you can find. Other than that there is not much done to the real cars not mentioned here.
  8. Baddddd to da Bone
  9. The Parnelli wedge turbine is currently in the same building where I have my model club meeting. That and the watson roadster
  10. Well guys, do you want to see where my model club meets? use this link for a few picts. http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t265/BR-BR/March/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ24 They just got in the Willard Battery Special and the Tubine Indy car this week. A few other cars just went to Petersons for a while. A couple BRE Datsuns, a whole bunch of Maseraties, McLarens, a ton of Gurney Eagles and on and on. Yep that is where we have to suffer through our meetings at. It is the Riverside International Raceway Museum. Its rough but we muddle through. Dwayne Oh The Citrus Nationals will be in a couple of weeks here is So Cal so come on over.
  11. I will be watching with interest. I plan on doing the red car.
  12. Beautiful car.
  13. Great job on a beautiful car. Just the right amount of shine.
  14. I went all over today looking for Shurtape cp-60. Could not find it any where in the Inland Empire area of So Cal. Even stores that carry Shurtape products did not carry this. ie Lowes, Sherwin Williams and some independents. I checked online and they want as much as the roll of tape to ship it. Any ideas where to get it cheaply?
  15. I would not lick it, you might "Rippit" Oh I crack myself up. If you want the barrior lock you must use some form of water. Paint wont cause the edge protection formula to kick in and then it is no different than any other tape. I have used a wet brush then dried it off. I waited a day before painting and all was good.
  16. I tried it on some home painting projects and was not that impressed. If you use it on a model the best thing is to wet the edge of the tape with water as it won't react to most paints.
  17. Beautiful!
  18. As a slot lover you stuff is amazing!
  19. Great job, with all the detail you might as well go all the way and get sponsor decals on it too. As far as the pinstripes I have used gel pins and it looks no better than what he has here. The only really good stripes I have seen were done by a pro pinstripper and they were out of this world, way beyone us mear mortals.
  20. As a big slot car fan to me that is amazing!
  21. There is a rule "thou shalt not covet" man do I covet this car LOL
  22. Great job Great Car
  23. the seat piping looks great
