  1. Very Cool. I can just imagine what will be possible in another 10 years.
  2. I was there that day. Flying in was SCARY. One of the tents ended up in the highway. The promoter was very responsive and said everyone would be taken care of and that they had plenty of insurance. All the locals said they had never seen a storm like that. We had several tornado warnings that night. I was staying with a friend that lives just up the road and it was something. I took off from Ontario CA and landed in Phoenix and it was a ROUGH ride. But the auctions were great and had tons of fun.
  3. Well after canceled flights, bumpy landings, tornado warnings, floods and other disasters I got to the auction. What an event. You have to go at least once. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki link to the picts http://public.fotki.com/djway3474/my-travels/barrett-jackson-az-2010/
  4. Duplicolor Silver Speckels, HOK candy pink and urethane clear. Lowered the stance a bit, rebuilt the half shafts as they were no where close to fitting, cut some tinted side windows as it looked goofey without them, used a Tamiya poly carb paint for interior parts as it has just the right sheen and a nice complimentary pink, used the felt that came with the kit and added a steering wheel as the kit has none. I could have detailed much more but wanted to stay as close as possible to the kit. My chrome was bad but I just left it. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  5. The kit had been started and I really don't remember where the wheels came from but I think this kit did have them. This is what happens when you finish a car a couple of years after you start it LOL.
  6. MPC Mustang. I nominate this kit for one of the worst ever. No two pieces went together without fit issues. I had to add plastic and grind the hood to just get close. Major grinding on the chassis and interior tub just so the body could barely fit over the chassis and on and on and on........ Tamiy Brilliant blue with urethane clear. I drew up the decals to belong to the Mustang Race Club of America. Scratched out the front half of the roll cage A genuine POC with this one. 7. That is the way it comes. Looks like to me they used that body to make the Bugaboo.
  8. I have been using the fujimi as a donor for bugs for some time. comes out kewl
  9. Who knew sitting at the bench would get things done. Box stock except for ride height. Rear panel hard to install correctly. Tamiya bright red, urethane clear. One I actually started from a freash kit. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

  12. Good to see you here John, This is one of my faves of your funys.
  13. I will try Thank you. The problem I am running into on these boards is that you must have like 100 post before you can sell stuff.
  14. I just won a Christmas raffle at my LHS. An O'donnell 1/8th scale Z01-B off road buggy. It came assembled with additonal Pro Line Tires and a custom paint job by RC Graphics. Well over $600 bucks. This thing is a beauty. The thing is, it is way beyond me. Does anyone know of a good RC message board for off road stuff where I can go sell this beauty? Thanks for any help PM me if you have infoHosted on Fotki Merry Christmas Dwayne J
  15. Festivus for the rest of us! I am dancing on the pole and hurling insults as we speak!
  16. If you look at the other super detail sets there they start around $120 and climb from there
  17. I believe different issues have different decals in not already mentioned
  18. on real tires they once used the white liquid shoe polish has anyone tried that?
  19. Not sure if this was mentioned above but the alps inks tend to react with quite a few clears. I coat all of my alps decals with future before application to avoid reaction problems.
  20. Sean, You need to go in the business of decals. I heard a lot of buzz at last weekends kit swapmeet here in so cal about your decals. The consistent buzz was that we all just want your decals. Dwayne J
  21. I think it is an Entex kit 1/8th scale but not sure. I have checked the site that has all the instructions but it is not there. The build is not the problem it is the various lines that need to be run is the reason I need instructions. I grew up racing VWs and we had two lines total LOL. Everything I know about American cars I have learned building models. See our toys are educational too. Thanks for any help. Dwayne J Hosted on Fotki
  22. I wrote to the email address you sent me about the headers and I have had no reply.

    Rat Rod

Man, I hope you got your tetnus shot before working on that. With the right lighting you would not be able to tell it was not a real car.
