  5. Are they the same R Series engine as used in the Avantis? Hawks were the first American car to impinge on my consciousness when I was about 5 or 6 in the mid 1950s. steve

  9. Here's a before pic of something I found in a box in the garage. It was built by me in the early 1970s and hasn't survived a few house moves well by the look of it. In fact, I had forgotten I still had it. Will get round to restoring it one day... steve

  15. Having to rip up all the tiles on the upstairs bathroom because water had got under them from a leaky cistern. Plumber fixed the leak quickly and easily and now I have to let the floor dry out before I can re-lay. steve
