Photobucket Problems
mr68gts replied to Dave Ambrose's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
you can still store your photos on photobucket....till they go under from the mistake they've made lol. Just cannot 3rd party them to forums ect. Or do what many have done and switch to Fotki, google or what ever picture hosting place of your choosing. But it is probably best to upload any photos used here on here so threads are not destroyed next time someone gets a bug up the ass. (Or greedy) I am already paid for a year of service with Fotki so I'm good for a while and was already in process, albiet slowly of changing over anyway. -
I use the share button myself.and it works for.me.

Photobucket Problems
mr68gts replied to Dave Ambrose's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Used the laptop today with Win 10 and no issues. -
So since I am moving and now am in Phoenix I have nothing to build. I tossed in a couple of models on the way out the door. One being the LN8000 and the other a Meng D9R. Decided to start on the LN so I spent half the day looking up reference for it. Not much to be had but I did figure out the engine at least. (Ford V225 otherwise know as a Cat 1160) Cleaned up the block half faces and got them glued together. Got a look at the belts and said OH HELL NO! lol. Luckily I did bring the Unimat lathe/mill and it's tooling with me lol. Decided to turn the pulleys from aluminum. Got most of the first steps done but still need the center hole for the crank bolt. Probably no one will see it but I know it's there so I suppose that's all that matters.

Here's one session of photobucket this morning. I understand needing money and all but someone screwed the pooch and over did the ads. There is no reason for THAT many ads and that's just to get into my library. If they had gone about it a better way I would have gladly paid for their service but like I said before, they've gone down hill and have been for a long time. I only started using ad blocker a couple weeks ago and that is just to get into my Photobucket as all the ads render it useless otherwise and I just want to get into it. I've downloaded one album that I was having problems with in Win 7 onto the laptop which has Win 10 on it. All of them opened up just fine with no squish so I will download the rest of them onto the laptop and them upload them to Fotki. Just payed for my 100 gig plan the other night so I'll be good for a year at 24.00.

resin Cosma Ray by Greg Wann
mr68gts replied to vintageslotcars's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I actually won one of Gregs Cosma Ray kits at Desert scale 2 years ago. Very nice casting. If Greg does the glass in vacuum form instead it will make this kit awesome! Been contemplating building it but moving has put the kabosh on much of that lol. Paul -
Not Paying Photo Bucket Post Pictures
mr68gts replied to Fast Floyd 2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've experienced the problem in the past and it wasn't just with Win 7 either. It did it to me on Vista 64 bit. I actually have my phoos backed up in memory cards so if it deletes them its not an issue. Plus I have a 1T back up drive with copies of it all. Redunancy at its finest....lol. Now I am on Win 7. Laptop is on Win 10. Maybe I should see if Win 10 will open them correctly. I want to see if I can resize the photos with something back to normal. May work, may not. Just have to see. -

Not Paying Photo Bucket Post Pictures
mr68gts replied to Fast Floyd 2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Same here Greg but I am not going to stick around with them. I've been pretty tires of their BS for years now and have just let it slide for a while.I'll download everything and send it over to Fotki which I am already paying for anyway. It's going to take me a while but It'll get done. One problem I am having is it is resizing some of the pics and a few are not even noticeable as pictures. Need to go in and manually download the pics instead of by album and see if that fixes it. Paul -
Dave, That's good to know. I certainly understand the issues with storage quotas as it takes up a lot of room. At least we have that option now. Thanks
-
I don't know. I just went there right now and the website is having some serious issues! I did manage to read the TOS though and the 2 top tier plans allow unlimited linking. I have to keep refreshing the page to get my pics to load so the servers must be busy with the mass exodus of people jumping ship and pulling their photos lol. I've started the process of downloading my albums. I don't mind paying for service but what they are asking is ridiculous!

AMT '55 - '57 1/16th Chevys ?
mr68gts replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I actually compared the 57HT's chassis to the Chevrolet dimensions available in the manuals and the chassis is pretty darn close. I think it was a little narrow IIRC and that was it. Can't speak for the body's however but they look better than the Monogram 12th scale version. -
Where's this Gem?
mr68gts replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I actually have a mint kit and someday want to build the XR-6. Dunno why but I like it. -
AMT '55 - '57 1/16th Chevys ?
mr68gts replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The only one of those I am missing is the 55 convertible. All of them are the original boxes too. What started me on these was I broke my dads 57 HT when I was a kid and it was the very one in the box posted. I finally managed to come up with one mint quite a few years ago. I could have found a later box but I wanted this box art. Paul -
I use ad blocker on my computer just because of the stupid adds in Pbucket. I should show you how many adds pop up that it blocks! It is an insane amount. However, I can only log into my account and access only my account and use it. If I try to go to someone elses pbucket it locks up with a disable ad blocker to continue. Guess I just don't look at anyones photobucket but mine lol. I need to just bite the bullet and pay for Flicker for a year that way I don't have to worry about it. I have a ton of pics on pbucket I guess I will have to transfer I guess.

Anyone like to see this one again ?
mr68gts replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Only the rear engine was a true hemi, The front engine is an abortion of an olds/caddy thing with Hemi heads and intake. With out digging my roarin rambulance up I want to say the front engine is a straight up Toronado Engine with the Hemi top half. -
