  1. Had the same problem, Bill. If you add a period after typing upper or lower case "B", followed by the RH parenthesis, b.) that stops Smiley.
  2. Okey Spaulding might have something to say about that.
  3. Psssssst..............
  4. it was offered by RMR, cab and grille/bumper only. Not listed now, though. Looks similar to the JF casting. Photo:
  5. Interesting, (and I'm not implying anything) phenomenon about Chinese restaurants around NYC. One never sees cats, dogs or pigeons anywhere near them.
  6. Thank you gentlemen. You're correct about the Revell kit being 1/48 scale, Donnie. Checking around, I see that Jimmy Flintstone makes a cab 1950s White Truck Cab Over and Danbury Mint produced a 1/24 White 3014 WLB Delivery Trucks
  7. Schaefer Beer was brewed in my neighborhood and I thought this would make an interesting model. Knowing the model, I can probably find a resin cab.
  8. Picky cat getting help from the deli guy. Gotta love this
  9. I'm more concerned with the schools of Coney Island Whitefish that appear around Robert Moses State Park during the summer.
  10. I was lucky and got it for 25 bucks from a guy on Hyperscale who is clearing his stash. I just missed getting a Revell 1/144 Space Shuttle with Launch Tower he listed. Now, I need to find a Terracruzer with Mace Missile.
  11. I know civil servants and their limitations. The Invaders UFO is, as you said, a simple kit. It still is cool. Doll it up with a lighting kit. I've got two Moebius Jupiter 2s and two Polar lights 1/72 scale Forbidden Planet C-57Ds (28" in diameter) which will have lighting installed. My living room will look like a whorehouse from outer space at night.
  12. Are side drafters in store for the future? They'd look great in an AM Corvette Grand Sport.
  13. Those Webers are beautiful! Kudos, man!
  14. If you have an AMT/Revell '58 Impala kit laying around, check and see how the interiors and chassis fit.
  15. That's awfully magnanimous of you for assuming the postal worker can actually read.
  16. Yeah, words. Oy vey, man. This is getting to be ponderous.
  17. Great find, Chris. And, in pretty good shape, too.
  18. Umm, that stuff you posted looks like late 19th century. As far as the walls and floors, might I suggest tiling with Italian Peach marble? Sure, $28/sq. ft. seems like a lot; but, think of the look on the Chief's face when she sees the end result. Why, Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino's Pizza, had his duplex (all 4,175 sq. ft.) at Trump Tower completely tiled with it because it was his wife's favorite color marble. After she saw it, she decided she wanted a different color.
  19. It'll adhere with the printed side on the back of the clear part. If you want to really make sure it does, apply some diluted (to a consistency of skim milk) Elmer's glue on the clear part before applying the decal. When the Elmer's Glue dries, it will be transparent and not affect the appearance of the gauges when viewing from the front of the dash. As far as applying over raised details, you can do that. Micro Sol/Micro Set will make the decals conform to the surface. Although, the decals for those areas might not be the exact size as the scripts/details and might look off register. So, it's up to you if you want to remove the details before applying the pertinent decals.
  20. Hmmm....I see an ad from Govberg Jewelers advertising Pre-Owned Rolex GMT-Master II “Coke” 16710 Our Price $8,450.00 Put me down for two.
  21. Hand her some tools and tell her to get started. Nothing worse than too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
  22. Then, there's this: More than 300 cats rescued from North York apartment, animal welfare organization says That's a real tough looking bunch of feline desperadoes Described as " a sea of cats", it looks like they rented the apartment. Must be a living heel at feeding time. Sorta looks like they're recreating a scene from "Riot In Cell Block 11" Pragmatic cats solve the "waiting your turn to use the bathroom" problems mere mortals face every day. It's a good thing cats are "dry clean only", drastically reducing turnaround time Jailhouse Rock, cat-style
  23. I stopped by because I heard there was a free hot buffet set up in the lobby.
