Chlorine bleach will also strip chrome as quickly as a pack of hyenas stripping a zebra carcass. -
Effective Paint/Decal Stripper
SfanGoch replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Testors ELO is the best decal/paint stripper made for its intended use. What you described is self-inflicted damage, Greg. It specifically states under "TO REMOVE COATINGS": 3. Repeat as necessary - DO NOT IMMERSE. That says it all. Read the instructions if you're not sure. -

Bidding on ebay is a hit or miss proposition. It's no different than going to an estate, police or any other type of auction; except you need to check on your bid status more frequently. A number of bidders set a maximum bid amount and their bids are automatically entered in increments if another bid exceeds that bidder's last higher amount. Worth and value are subjective. Everybody has their own idea as to what they feel a particular item is worth; so, you might not want to get into a pissing contest and end up paying more than you really want to spend. -
Check out HOBBYLINC. About half of the product lineup is available.

Yes. In addition to the previously mentioned paints/primers, I also had a nice coat of Tamiya XF-11 IJN Green, which is pretty much a dead match for the green used on pre-1973 NYPD vehicles, all of which was clear coated. EVERYTHING came off. ELO stripped off some funky neon green lacquer completely off a Lindberg '53 Ford body I converted into a business coupe, leaving no evidence that it was painted like a clown car.

I just stripped a Johan '68 Fury body sprayed with Krylon ColorMaster Gray Primer, Satin White Paint + Primer and Model Master Acryl paints brushing on Testors ELO. Took all of 40 minutes to remove every bit of paint/primer. No soaking for two weeks in a vat of CSC or whatever.

Testors Automotive Paints
SfanGoch replied to mrmike's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You're the one with an issue, dude. I simply stated: "Those are the Model Masters International Military & Figure Enamels indicated in the link I provided." Don't play victim here. That quoted comment was in reply to this: which you deftly edited. It no longer bears any resemblance to its original, unedited form. Make some sense, while you're at it. Logically, you can't say, " I never watched Seinfeld, cant' stand that show". How would you know if you never watched it? -

My point, Jonathan, is that a specific line being discontinued. Your list doesn't indicate that; it was just a list of paints by name and product number . No need to make something out of nothing. This isn't a Seinfeld episode. -

Here's the answer as to what Testors is actually discontinuing. From Kit Maker Network, dated Wednesday, May 29, 2019: The End - Model Masters Military & Figure Enamels The product line that has been discontinued is the Model Masters International Military & Figure Enamels. This was due to a lack of support in the marketplace. (Emphasis added.) If you have any additional questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. Aztek airbrushes are also on the chopping block. Honestly, youse guys need to look past auto modeling sites to get information. -

You expect too much. Digression for its own sake is the norm. -
The tires had a plug on the back with a hole in the center. The wheel covers had a toothed gear molded in so one could use H-1256:98 GO ELECTRIC POWER KIT for MOTORIZING 1/25 SCALE CARS As far as the glass goes, I've test fitted different Johan '62 Mopar kit glass in the Dodge Dart HT and Plymouth Fury 4 Dr kits I have and they pretty much drop in. I would imagine that Atlantis could retool the glass if needed. They have done retooling on some of the old Revell aircraft to bring them back to their original condition. Also, they could incluse templates to cut your own glass from clear styrene sheet. I made some using that method for the Dodge Dart because the glass included in the kit is for the Valiant V-200. Hexk, I should send Peter Vetri and Rick DelFavero the wheels, tires and the V-200 glass so they can possibly make new masters and tools.

I don't and never claimed to. Carefully read my comment again: "If you don't fall under the description of one of the above mentioned entities, you ain't gettin' them by the case at that price." Say, didn't you write that you wouldn't post on this forum anymore?

Make and Take Your math is a bit off. A case contains 24 kits. That makes them 3 bucks per. Uh, no you couldn't. They aren't available to "businesses". To whom the kits are available: Please note we only ship the Make and Takes to IPMS Groups, Schools, Camps etc. Not sold to the General Public. If you don't fall under the description of one of the above mentioned entities, you ain't gettin' them by the case at that price.
