Are his parents "helicopter parents", the type who hover over their children and pretty much over-supervise his every move? I've seen parents who acted like this when my 16 year old was younger. These parents literally would follow their kids onto the playground equipment in the park, instructing the kids on how to play, organizing their activities 24/7 (arranging dumb stuff like "play dates" ) and not letting them learn to act like real kids and develop their own personalities. Those same kids, as they got older, devolved into obnoxious, whiny, undisciplined teens possessing a false sense of entitlement. My kid avoided them because he didn't want to hang out with crybabies.

Hey, Jim. Head over to the Promenade for the fireworks tonight. I'm about to walk out the door in a few. At least there's a pretty good breeze around Remsen Place and you can pick up some cold ones on Montague.

Since it's supposed to be a fire department car (red paint job), just add some Coke decals and you're set. I never saw a 2DR car used by any city agency at any time during my lifespan. The last time 2 DR coupes/sedans were used by NYC was 1958. Building this '70 Impala Fire Chief as an FDNY bugle limo ain't gonna work.

The listing was pulled. Somebody must've contacted the seller about the same discrepancies you noted. The seller's ebay moniker is "fordnut88" which probably explains the Mustang parts. Or, maybe not.

Go figure, Rich. How would you pigeonhole anything made with a Gilbert Erector Set? The decision to move or allow a post to remain in a particular sub-forum seems somewhat arbitrary at times. If someone posts a thread about an Amphicar model in "Car Kits & reviews", would it stay there or get moved to "All The Rest" because it can be operated in water, like a boat? -

Nobody's ever satisfactorily explained or showed any justification as to why a thread on the AMT Hydro Boat is even allowed to stay in "Car Kits and Reviews". It's a boat. No wheels. No doors. Wassup wi'dat? -
I've had pizza in Italy with a poached egg in the middle, squid and clams and other interesting toppings. But, you are right, Steve. The thin crust is the best. You won't ever find a thin crust pizza overloaded with toppings. The best examples here are Patsy's (fourth oldest pizzeria in the U.S.) , on 1st Ave. & 118th St. in East Harlem, John's (second oldest, opened in 1915) on Bleecker St. in the West Village, Lombardi's (oldest in the U.S. opened in 1905) on the corner of Spring & Mott St. in Little Italy and Coney Island's Totonno's (third oldest, opened in 1924) on Neptune Avenue. All make their pizzas with olive oil-coated thin crusts, just a bit of sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes, fresh moozarel and fresh basil and oregano. until the late '50s - early '60s, you could only get pies, no slices. There is a phenomenon in New York City known as "The Pizza Principle". This is a humorous but generally historically accurate "economic law" proposed by native New Yorker Eric M. Bram. He noted, as reported by The New York Times in 1985, that from the early 1960s "the price of a slice of pizza has matched, with uncanny precision, the cost of a New York subway ride." Subway fare in 1963 was 15 cents; a slice cost 15 cents. In 1980, a subway token cost 60 cents; so did a slice. In 1992, the cost of both was $1.25. Today, the fare is $2.75, also the price of a slice. Amazin', ain't it?
