  1. that was gunter artz, he did a few other similar cars and ended up at vw building concepts. I've been gathering the parts to do the golf and maybe the skyrocket another time.
  2. miniart lanz tractor. not a model company I'd heard of before someone posted about these tractors back in november. Since i like tractors i got this one and i have a 8506 on the way too. I'll get the 8500 next week
  3. me and my uncle pulled one out of a midden where it had sat for 30 years with just the top of the rear wheels showing where it was. After a long jet wash, som new fluids and a fresh battery and it started right up. Still smelled really bad and most of the panels were toast but it wasn't needing a rebuild like the 135s would in the same state
  4. nice, those zeemax kits were among the smartest for the mini. they were certainly the most copied kits. heres one thats in a shed near my mums. its pretty rusty now though
  5. I've only worked on one of them, but i've restored 4 fergie 35s and 2 135s. I turned one of these heller kits into my grandads 35 or close to it apart from the engine being the wrong way around, lol
  6. heller kit built as a wreck to add to a diorama. real rust but i'll add some more when it goes in the dio as i have more effects to add.
  7. what good is a shed without shelves?
  8. if its not going to be handled too often montana gold spray cans. its is similar to molotowe in needing about a week to set hard and cannot be cleared but it gives a nice brassey finish. This is straight from the can, over a brush painted resin print
  9. de'finitions goin on ere grandad when he got home from work and saw his garden dug
  10. i've got loads of them too, and some decals for doing trim on seats but its another you need to buy 4 sets of to be sure to have enough
  11. Those kits mostly get sold in europe. the capri is massively popular on this side of the pond and these kits have kept their value bacause of that. I hope revell have kept hold of them, they would be a good seller for them if the second hand values are a guide and since ford europe did the engineering they are simple to build an engine bay for as it just a couple of right angle bends to make inner fenders
  12. they get cleaned before they get cured so you should be good. I use duplicolour primers with my prints
  13. While you said you would like to keep your current monitor, you may get some other options/discounts if you replace the the whole thing as one unit. I would expect a monitor to be part of any deal you get offered so its worth keeping the option open just in case.
  14. cool project TJ, the bug front end is really simple to narrow and to make working suspension from due to how tamiya put it together. I did a how to somewhere on here for the front and rear suspension
  15. I need at least 6gig processing speed to run the slicer. A gaming laptop might have the spec needed if its a recent one as the graphics card needs to be good too. I havent done any drawing on my computer but my friend has installed and used blender on it with no problems. His own laptop is much more powerful than mine but mine coped ok. It was a little slow but i probably wont be using it that often for drawing. If you are going to use it a lot then get the best spec you can to save having to keep upgrading parts/apps
  16. base level objectivity definers sounds like a technical term but i just made it up
  17. away from the manager a karen raised it head, screaming from her lungs that she WILL be heard
  18. some more done. Once this has dried I'll line the inside with wood as well. next up is figuring out the size of the lean to on the side. Once i have it worked out i can add some surface textures and plant life
  19. I've got a couple of glass curio display cases. They keep the worst of the dust out. I've also got an old hifi unit I've stripped the gubbins out of to leave a glass cased place to display a couple of dios.
  20. I can vouch for safety buying from ukraine. Apart from feb to august last year there has been little difference to delivery times before the war. It takes about 3 weeks from ukraine to the uk so maybe 4 for usa
  21. I've enjoyed working with the wood on this so I'm building a dio to go with it. Maybe its because its something new but that keeping my attention at the moment but i have been continuing to work on the fenders while i wait for glue to dry.
  22. they still exist but mostly as a t shirt company, or you get 120 pages that say see your dealer which i assume is who they saw before putting out such useless help books.
  23. Save yourself some trouble and use the same brands. Once you have built up a few cans with leftover paints you can start to experiment with them then. Personally I stopped using enamels, they just never seemed to fully harden for me and i dont have the patience to watch paint dry so i use mainly 1/1 auto paints
  24. good quality citroens, peugeots and renaults. Now they are poorly designed with critical components in the most exposed places, eg. most renaults have the computer positioned where any road grime or salt just rest on top of the connections or having to remove body panels just to swap a light bulb making what used to be a 5 minute job take over 6 hours. also, bright colours. grey, black, white and silver are dull depressing colours, especially when they are all you see day in and day out. Some days the only colourfulvehicles i see are the post mans vans. bring back colours!!
  25. a little progress
