  1. do you have a welding mask?
  2. bought a couple of tractor kits off ebay. they arrived yesterday and when i went to put them away i found i already have both on the shelf. at least i got them cheap
  3. well its got my attention
  4. i think its just the reflection of the truck next it making the dash look wonky.
  5. why do you think they aren't car fans? there has to be at least one or else we would never have got 3 versions of the opel admiral and numerous versions of the t. none of the American model companies have done an accurate model t fire truck or speedster but icm have and revell liked those kits enough to rebox some of them. the reason they are still on the shelf is when an amt model t is $20 and the icm is $45 we know which will be chosen. and its not that they're difficult to build, you just have to follow the order of the instructions or else things go wrong. I'm working on the opel admiral just now and all the problems have been caused by my assembling the body too soon but they haven't put me off getting the convertible (which is in the post). sure some parts are done strange but no stranger than splitting and engine and gearbox down the centre. to me the biggest problem with the kits is the sprue tab locations, some thought put into them would be a bonus as every one of them is in a dumb place
  6. if you slightly shorten the two tabs on the body, that mounts the rumble seat, you can get the body to fit better at the rear. there will still be a small gap but the gap will at least be even. you can get the fit even tighter if your not worried about keeping the rumble seat operational
  7. words are hard why not try another kind of writting when you type
  8. dont forget the ice cream on the way home
  9. thats a cool find, i'm surprised none of the model companies made one. what was the sellers name?
  10. got cheaper postage on an item from Austria than the same item from the uk wanted. and the item was cheaper too
  11. Well I'm enjoying this and managed to get a few parts painted so will have some pics once i detail them a little. In the meantime i've ordered the lowered drop top version as I'd like to do one with wood panel sides. I dont believe it was even an option but since theres a lot of gm styling i think it should work, and besides that i have some more mowrider interior files i'd like to use and it seems kinda pointless to use them if they cant be seen. Which leads me to a question, were swamp coolers used on convertibles?
  12. cents wurdz r diffi hurd eye nut dry anuva kynd ov ritun wen yoo tipe
  13. just click to mark the email as spam and carry on with your life. you can find out if your email address was part of a hack by using https://haveibeenpwned.com/ you just put your email address into it and it will tell if it was part of a hack and what data they have on you. it even tells you if they got passwords. it wont stop you getting spam emails but it will tell you if passwords need changed
  14. I've had 2 cans do that recently. i think it might be unmixed pigments in the straw as both cans cleared up after a little spraying. mine looked even more fibrous than that, almost like carpet, lol. both tins i had the problem with were filler primer and both were well shaken beforehand. I've got a jar next my booth now to do the first wee squirt into to be sure it safe
  15. whatchamacallits are great because everybody has some but nobody actually knows what is
  16. if you have posted your pics on a public forum without using a third party host theres nothing you can do about breach of copywrite. the terms we agree to when we join the forums mostly say your pics can be used by them which you have agreed to by clicking accept terms. almost every site has this in their terms as otherwise they would be liable for any copywrite breaches. even if you have copywrite on a pic, but you then post it on facebook, it goes down in the copywrite rating to a creative commons licence which means anybody can use it as you posted it publicly. the only way to really protect your copywrite is to never post any pics anywhere online. do you think shutterstock and their like really own the right to all those pics they host?
  17. it remind me of the tempo matador in it engineering. the tempo had the aircooled engine under the seats too but it was almost 30 years earlier
  18. it looks like it might be a 41 chevy truck with the fenders removed, the dip towards the centre of the grille gives it away
  19. france, what can i say that wont get me banned (just a joke guys)
  20. them thar is fighting words said the idiot i asked to fight
  21. validation for parking seems like an odd idea, your parking is great, have a medal
  22. I'm not familiar with the kit but i would probably start by looking for something with the same mounts for the gearbox. That way theres at least one fixed mount already there and the engine mounts can be made to fit easier than making a gearbox fit the tunnel
  23. my local car parts place is trying to convince me duplicolour matt black paint and black primer are the same thing. even when i take in evidence that one is paint and one is primer (the paint crazes styrene, the primer doesn't) they refuse to admit they are wrong. i just want them to get me the right thing. They have simoniz black primer and matt black paint (but its watery garbage) so its obvious they are 2 different things yet they cant see that
