  1. Yep for sure. To make em more racy one can forgo the carb/filter piece and use a stand alone Weber like from HRM or Scale Auto etc... Or cut off the flter and make some venturies. Still if I got this kit I'd make it like the ABD racing version; "Silver Mullet". Here is a cool article about it with a cool interior pic; http://www.vwvortex.com/news/find-of-the-day/find-of-the-day-1980-volkswagen-rabbit-truck-dragster/
  2. Wow, what a wondeful kit, great packaging! Unsure what teh original was like but it seems they really sprused it up here, Round2 is fantastic!
  3. Pretty impressive.
  4. Here it is in a drag race;
  5. Like this one; http://www.abdracing.com/project/pickup/index.html Notice the front wheels/tires are thicker then the back for more grip. This thing is wicked!
  6. Very very very clean. Nice man!
  7. Oh my gawd! Totally insane build! WOW!
  8. Looks like late rOctober.
  9. The reason I ask was while perusing the 1999.co.jp site I came across this; http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10321641 Its got some date of April 2015. Is this the old kit?
  10. Hi, Has any one heard that Revell will issue a 1/25 Porsche 914 2 in 1?
  11. Man, I did that and it seemed fine at first. That is until the cooler air from outside the oven came in contact with the model and caused it to accordian! Haste makes waste and patience is a virtue are all I can say.
  12. Great points, thanks man!
  13. A buddy of mine stuck a blown Chevy V8 in his back in the day. Man what a beast!
  14. Yep. read that in the links you posted earlier. Well I was envisioning keeping the original engine location. There was this tuner in the late 80's who instlled small block V8 in 914's. Man they were screamers!
  15. Curious, if you all had to do a gasser version of a Porsche 914 or a Porsche Speedster, which would you do and why?
  16. Ah good point man, good point. I'm going email support about the unit I'm planning to buy and see if its rated for flamables.
  17. My guess is that its got to do with wiring etc... So ensureing no bare wires/electrical contact of any kind and perhaps a flame retardant type of wire insulation. For example, in the network world we have plenum and non plenum cat 5 cable. I use plenum for in ceiling runs and non plenum for in office runs. The plenum doesn't burn as easy however its more rigid and costs more. So if it were me, I'd replace the wiring with ones that are flame resistant and ensure cover any bare electrical surfaces.
  18. This project yells craftsman all over it. I'm enjoying this one for sure. I just got done with some Tamiya Brilliant Blue which is great but when out, will use Design Master ColorTool as its a lacquer based line and based on tests, is as awesome. They have a primer and a gloss as well. Best part is the various coupons at Michaels etc...
  19. Me likes that! When I'm ready to get one, I'd prolly be looking at this; http://www.amazon.com/Artograph-Hobby-Model-Spray-Booth/dp/B000KNFR2S/ref=sr_1_8?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1444141573&sr=1-8&keywords=Hobby+Airbrush+Spray+Booth
  20. If you are getting a buzz, then I'd say you need more ventalation for sure. Try spraying near a window and use a good fan for circulation. Also check this product, its got good reviews, nice decent mask; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FTEDMM?keywords=hepa filter face mask&qid=1444138797&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2
  21. The new transkit looks like it includes an engine as well? Wow what a kit! BTW, I assume this kit; http://www.amazon.com/25-63-Shelby-Cobra-AMT38423/dp/B000BRSH9S
  22. Holy cow! Seems like a lot is included in the transkit. What model kit does this combine with?
