1/8 Scale Ultra Detail GT40 Engine
aurfalien replied to Quick GMC's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I forgot alreay however you may recall. But there was a company having monthly membership were they sent parts of a model to build out. They had Red Bull and Senna fomula 1 racers, also some ships as well. I can see a GT40 being another offering. -
1/8 Scale Ultra Detail GT40 Engine

If it were, how much would you think it to cost? Based on the engine cost, perhaps ~$2.5K more, say $3.5K for a complete 1/8 Ultra high detail GT40? And would you pay it? -
Wow, this is look pretty darn cool!

Wow how cool. A pity it was meant to be disposed of. Why go through all those man hours of R&D, implementation etc just to scrap it? I never understood this but it happens all the time. I look at it as why disregard some ones time and effort by throwing it away? Respect efforts by simply show casing it etc...

Yep, yours is the real deal historically. A true legend!

Revell 51' Henry J Gassers
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Cool, thanks Mark. Seems as eBay has the Saints version up to 3x the cost, I'll stick with the Model King version. -
Hi, Hoping some one can help me out. I'm looking at 2 Henry Gasser kits, both by Revell but one is a Model King reissue kit # 85-2036. The other is a Henry J Saints version kit # 7398. Are there any differences between these 2 kits besides decals and perhaps color? Are they the same quality etc...? Thanks in advance.

I think your BMF turned out great and does look like sheet aluminium. I'm planning to start my Grand Sport Vette after a project or 2 and wanted to do an air dam just like yours. Some one here did an entire body in BMF and it turned out bitchen! Other options for this are Tamiya AS flat aluminium and Model Masters buffing aluminium.

Thanks for all the encouragment, I am über appreciative! This wasn't supposed to be my 3rd build but intertia sorta got me going on it. And yep I'm an unintentional blasphemer! I didn't have any Chevy decals and wanted to use whst I had. Hoping to be done very soon and move on to a more simple project. One proper for a beginner skill set.

Can you list a few for me? I'm looking for race centric parts etc... I may start with the Baldwin Camaro and build from there. -
Best 70-73 Camaro kits

I've combed through the aftermarket vendor directory and was wondering if any one know of aftermarket 70-73 centric Camaro kits/parts? I was going to give Norm@RMM a call later on. -

Hi, I'd suggest using Google Voice as you can make free calls. In terms of there catalogue, its huge! I thought to scan and PDF it but man its too much work. Plus I asked and they prefer not listing as prices change. Call em during biz hours which I assume is 10AM-5PM EST. Then you can order a catalogue as well as some parts. -
Thats very interesting and would inidicate that infact I'm not backwards Thnaks for the post Draggon.

I see. Well I'll wait to do final paint for this bad boy for a few months then. Thanks for the warning.
