Absolutely, but this one is more of the type of car that most people drove back then: a basic, affordable muscle car, and as the Bee was pretty new when I remember it, it most likely came with whitewalls.

I'm currently making my way through Airtrax's '78-'79 Cordoba, being built as a '79 300. It was worth every penny! I also bought their '69 300 but haven't done much more than oggle it yet...

A bit of a tribute to a long-ago grade school teacher's car, one of the very first performance Mopars I can remember. From Grade 1 in 1970, this would have been a new car, and it sure dressed up the school yard! Painted in Scale Finishes Q3 Light Turquoise base/clear, it'll have a white bench seat, column shift interior, white wall tires and a white tail stripe. ThatScale Finishes base is soooo nice to spray! I used the Dart GTS big block, as it'll be a basic 383 Bee and the kit's 440 six pack didn't fit my plan. Comments always welcome.

Beautiful job! That has to be the best '70 Cuda build I've seen. Sooo very nice!

Nice job. Who makes the kit? Might be on my wish list...

Snowed out in Martinsville!

Nascar Pinty's Series drivers will race in the wet. It's awesome to watch! I think the Xfinity series has provisions for wet weather too... -
My Mom & Dad's friends had a '65 Fury four door in that greenish colour.

Thanks for all the kind words. I enjoyed building the Bonne. It's not the greatest detailed kit, but with a little work I think it can look pretty presentable. The paint colour suits it. I kept the open roadster stuff to use on a '65 Bonne glue-bomb. We'll see how that one goes...

Yeah... we've had more than usual this year, the last two dumps were wet and heavy. The top of the hot tub is clear, but there's still a couple inches of the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH in the shadows of the yard.

Beautiful job!

'68 Pontiac Firebird Ram Air 400 - Pro Stock Upgrades

I like that. It's got a real late sixties/early seventies feel to it. -
Glad you decided to do the car, it looks fantastic.

Very nice!

Very, very nice and well thought out. I like just about everything on this build!

Just finished this one. Built pretty much box stock, with the addition of clear head and park lamps, a column shift lever and a filler panel 'tween the bumper and rad saddle. Painted in Ford Toreador Red base/clear urethane. Pictures don't do justice to the colour: it's gorgeous in real life. A pretty simple kit but it was fun building it. I wish it came with a four barrel and auto instead of the Tri-Power and four speed, but for what it is, I'm happy with it. Comments always welcome.

Car shows on the tube
restoman replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Restoration Garage always gets my view time. Very little drama, none of the stupidity of numerous other car shows, and some pretty awesome machines... The Guild is a real-life, world-class facility that I would have LOVED to work at in my younger days. -
Very nice! I'm tinkering with something similar: canopy top, bench seat, hideaways, small block,... Yours is a great inspiration to get my butt in gear!

The way things are going in Nascar as of late, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see JJ hang them up sooner rather than later. He's already in the books as one of the best ever, other than collecting #8, he's done it all. At 40+, his days are numbered. Teams run on money and it'd be no surprise to see some other manufacturer throw big bucks to entice HMS to leave Chevrolet. $.02

Buying online or brick and morter stores
restoman replied to gtx6970's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I buy everything I can from our local one-and-only hobby shop, even if it means spending a few bucks more. It's a small operation and he's been threatening to retire for over a year, so I do my best to pad his RRSP. I ran a brick and mortar business for close to a decade and have been self-employed for 15 years, so I appreciate how tough it is to stay afloat. When he's gone... We've got a Hobby Lobby across the border in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, and they keep a good stock, so that's my second go-to if the local guy can't get something. I have bought online from places like Fireball and Harts Parts, etc., but shipping to Canada can be horrendous these days. Only if I absolutely cannot get something local or semi-local will I look online. I'm one of those people that like to have the purchase in my hands as I pay for it... E-Bay seems to be a big hassle nowadays, at least to me. -
Very nice. I've been debating getting this kit, you've moved me closer to the purchase.

Nice job! I built that one a few years ago. Surprisingly, the decals aren't that bad to apply. That's the car that did a complete 360 flip in '97... ended the race early for Presley.

Very nice. I like that! I drove one of those yachts - a four door - for a couple weeks, years ago. I'm a big-car fan, but that one was so wallowy (?) it almost made one feel seasick.
