  1. Finally, some paint! Still very fresh, but here's a peek: Pro Spray Chrysler K6 Dark Burnt Orange with Pro Spray clear.
  2. Well... yeah... there's that too.
  3. Nope, no updates. It's one of those builds that might never get done - kind of a I-wanted-to-see-if-it would-work kinda thing.
  4. The differences don't look huge, other than the front and rears. The Toyo hood would take some effort - do they use that body? The current Gibbs car look pretty boxy compared to that pic... If all that is offered are Ford Fusions, and someone is a Hendrick fan... we're model builders, right?
  5. True enough... on TV the cars all look so similar, it's only the stickers and colours that enable you to pick them out.
  6. Scratch that... I took a second look at some cars and there is some significant difference. Maybe one could work on a Ford to look like an Impala, but the Toyo is really different.
  7. That may be true, but once they're decaled up, who is really going to notice?
  8. With some filling and filing on the front and rear fascias, the Fusion could be an Impala or a Camry... the common template Cup cars are very, very similar.
  9. Pretty nice. Well detailed for that scale.
  10. ...Having far too much fun... One side is scribed, a few touch-ups to do but I think it's reasonable. Next time I'll start with a better kit... cutting in lines where none existed before is not for me. Spent a good half hour stirring up the paint I plan to use. It's been in my basement since '07 when I used it on a full size '71 New Yorker. Very glad there's only a quart or so left in the can... my arm is pretty tired! A lot of the metallic and resins had sunk to the bottom but I managed to get it all back into suspenion. It's an awesome colour! The colour-on-a-stick pic is taken without a flash... the metallic is actually very fine.
  11. Scribing in body panel gaps... My eyes are too old for this! Should be in it's final coat of primer this week sometime.
  12. Beautiful! Nice to see I wasn't the only one thinking it was real car...
  13. Nice! A big Sr. fan here.... got a couple of his cars on my shelf.
  14. Looks great! I'm a big fan of the mid sixties Mopar Bs.
  15. Sorry, typed the address wrong.
  16. Anyone have an email address for Airtrax? raurta@yahoo.com keeps coming back as undeliverable.
  17. Awesome! Very well done.
  18. 1969 Chrysler 300 2 door Or ANY fuselage Mopar C body...
  19. Billy, that's just plain gorgeous!
  20. The Camaro was the car that was plowed into the dozers for the final scene...
  21. ... Or Vanishing Point... too bad it's not a Camaro.
  22. For the windshield i just ran my X Acto blade in a wiggly pattern from a perceived point of impact. I really wasn't too happy with the results...though it looks ok in the pics.
  23. I cut the fender off, bought some throw away foil trays at the dollar store, cut one up and rubbed it out against the fender and hood until it looked right. I left the shape big enough to fold the edges over the fender and hood edges for some strength. It really didn't take long at all. I think I'll do the same for the rad support, maybe even the bumper. There's nothing on the backside of the new/wrecked panels to give anything strength - I was thinking of mixing some epoxy glue and coating the backsides... ?
  24. Yeah, that thought crossed my mind... but this way i can rust it at the points of impact to make it more believable. That's my story and I'm going to stick to it.
