    I thought they were built on all 4 Chevy assembly lines in the States for that generation, plus Oshawa Ontario for Canadian and some foreign consumption. But, I agree anout the colors being the same.

    Here in Canada we have rules for radio and TY about how much Canadian content they have to play. They're generally referred to as "CanCon rules" I'm Canadian and I just like the sound of it. This explains what I'm talking about though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_content

    I modified mine , just a little bit. One glaring omission on the engine is a lack of a valley pan under the intake. But if you're using the stock air cleaner is's not too noticeable

    Not that I feel I have to justify my model, but,, Yes, these are all in Parisiennes ,, close enough for me. If an IPMS judge wants to dock me points, so be it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find Bonneville parts here in Canada? ,, Why, just recently had to have a friend send me a Bonneville tail light.

    ,,, and yet, I really couldn't care less. If you didn't like those little details, you're really not gonna like my wheels and tires. You see, this is not a "replica stock " build. I rarely do replica stock builds because I do not particularly care for posts that just pick apart my work. I get enough of that from my boss when I'm actually at work I don't need it when I go home too. When you do your '67 Bonneville you can do those details to it if you wish. But thanks for your comments.

    ??? Looks to me like the body was dead-on accurate, like all the MPC full size Pontiac annuals. Interior looks kinda shallow but correct for what it's supposed to be. Engine is a holdover from the '66 as is the platform promo-based one peice chassis. I don't have one yet but I will before this year is out, gotta fill a space in my Pontiac collection. Might get a resin one as the originals are quite pricey. But then again, the time you get the resin kit, a '70 donor kit and have the bumpers plated you might be just as well to find a good re-builder.

    Revell '29 pickup. Inspired by a truck that often appears in Lyle Willits' event coverage. Not a replica of it though. Using most of the Revell kit with the wheels and 5.0 engine from the Revell '32 sedan. Planning to modify the outer 1/2 of the wheels so they'll look better. Paint is Alclad gloss black on the fenders and a custom mix light grey with a slight green/grey tint on the cab and box. Testors "green go" on the wheels and engine. That's the engine in the background.

    Up on wheels to check stance. I think I'll raise the rear about the width of the metal axle. Also have the engine mostly assembled and painted.

    The old MPC kit can look good if you're willing to put a little extra work into it. This one was built from the kit in question. I filled the T-tops and used a set of Pegasus tires with modified promo wheels. replaced the headlights with clear lenses.

    This is the Revell kit that's available now. It IS NOT the old 1/24 Monogram kit in a different box that Revell's been selling since the companys merged. It's a newer 1/25 kit just released a coupe years ago. It's based on a diecast so the bottom of the body is a bit wider than it should be but it's pretty nice besides that. I'm actually using one for a donor kit on a '74 Trans Am build I've started. Here's a couple pics of my '74 with the newer chassis trimmed to fit

    I used this stuff to make headlight lenses over 4 years ago and they're still clear, no yellowing.

    Looks great, but are you sure those wheels are the 20"? [Pegasus only makes 19 and 23 ] look more like the 23" ones to me.

    Yup, says so right there. Still couldn't find any pics in the brochures of one with black wall tires. BTW, showing a Canadian a GIF of shinia twain is just rude.

    I just took a quick look through the '77 and '78 brochures, pretty well all the light pickups have white walls. White letter for the sportier models and 4X4s. The only black wall tires I'm seeing are on 3/4 ton and heavier work trucks. Remember, it was pretty hard to find a car or light duty pickup tire that didn't have a whitewall back in the '70s. Even the very cheapest vehicles came with them standard.
