  1. Great looking car. Excellent job on the trim and details. ?
  2. I almost didn't open this thread ,, another '69 Camaro and all but I'm sure glad I didn't. That is one great looking build. Love the paint and the custom touches.
  3. Excellent !! Very cool and I also dig the wheels. ?
  4. Marc Nellis , a member on here does some red resin tail lights. He may do these, I don't know. But it's worth firing off a PM if you can find him. A moderator may be able to help with that.
  5. The Monogram "Son of Ford" '32 has similar wheels also.
  6. Ron, Just round off one end of a regular metal axle, put it about 1/4 inch in the end of your aluminum and start working it around in circles, pushing the end of the aluminum out a little bit as you go around. Start with small circles and slowly increase the angle while slowly allowing the axle to come out a tiny bit each time. Eventually, the end of the aluminum will be flared out . Work slowly so it dosen't bend too much at once or rip the tube when it starts to get thinner as it flares out. You can then polish the tube with a bit of your favorite polish and cut to length. That's how I did these ones.
  7. So, was it someone here who got it?
  8. A couple weeks ago I seen a sealed MPC '72 Impala go for just over [IIRC] $500 CDN ,, about $375 USD.
  9. Ya know, I do understand why someone would want to spend that much on a model. After all,, what would you really rather have, a $300 '66 Fury or 10 $30 '32 Ford kits? Just depends how much you'd rather have the Plymouth. Me?,, I'm quite happy with my cheap resin re-pop.
  10. The real cars never had them, '71 was the first year for those and only "455 H.O.".
  11. I'd love to get my hands on a nice copy of the "Quicksilver" kit.
  12. IIRC, '60 was the last year for the 2 door full size Chevy wagons and the sedan delivery. I believe the slanted pillars are due to Tom Daniels designing the kit with Elcamino doors.
  13. That's no excuse.
  14. It's a waste of a good '71 Riv is what it is. ?
  15. That's looking great Roger. Love the maroon with the steel grey. I hear ya about those wheels, hard to get them to look good. Almost makes a guy want to spring for a nice set of 3-D printed ones. https://www.shapeways.com/product/6PXDTJXEQ/set-of-four-kelsey-hayes-quot-bent-spoke-quot-big-little
  16. Yes, Michael has already pointed out my mistake Thanks.
  17. Here's a pic of the instruction sheet. I don't know if it will work with a regular FE engine though.
  18. What about the injection manifold in the AMT '69 Galaxie? could that one be modified to work?
  19. I guess?? When I looked at the listing it said $499 starting bid with 0 bids. I guess that's what happened. I did see an unopened MPC '72 Impala go for 500 bucks a couple weeks ago though.
  20. Nope, it didn't go. That $500 is just what the seller set the first bid at. They set it way too high and no one bid on it because the first actual bid would have had to be over 500 bucks !
  21. Such a nice looking truck and an incredibly clean build too ! ?
  22. Has "Blazing Saddles" been banned yet? ??
  23. sorry to hear that Jim.
  24. I can't attest to shipping time etc. but,, I mastered the valve covers for his 472/500 ci Cadillac engines so he sent me a couple engines and extra valve covers as payment. The parts I got looked very good. No sink marks or major pin holes, etc. He's Ken Kitchen and IIRC, he is a member here.
