Yea, no clue what you mean. You asked why would someone want to build that kit. My answer was that it would be the same reason someone would want to build any other kit, regardless of our likes or dislikes. I would never want to build a new Bronco kit or that Barris rickshaw thingy but I wouldn't ask why someone else would want to. Seemed to me you were dismissing those who would want to build the kit. If I misunderstood, I apologies.

Same reason anyone would want to build any other model kit. Just because you don't like the car doesn't mean no one else likes it either. ?

So, what kind of car kits do your teenagers and their friends build Michael? Might be good for the model companies to know what kind of models would sell to the younger generation to get them interested in building models.

What's wrong with the wheels? ? -
That's what I thought too but I did look through the site several times and didn't find them. Out of stock maybe?

The grille from the MPC van should fit the AMT one with no problems. Nice it itself, BTW. Wish Round2 would reissue this one, it's a very nice, well detailed kit.

BTW, Joe, I shot an e-mail off to Mark whos does the "Wheels are Everything" blog asking him about his wheels, I'll post when [if?] I get a reply. I've had e-mail conversations with him before and he's actually featured on '62 Chrysler on his blog so I do expect a reply at some time.

Ford F-100

Yes, hard to find good pics sometimes. It took me over a 1/2 hour to find a couple good ones. A lot of the times it's easier to find a "for sale" listing of the vehicle you want pics of and check those out. A lot of the larger specialty car dealers will have dozens of detail pics of their listings but you can't copy them to post here. Here's a couple listings of '60 Ford pickups with loads of pics, for example,, https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1751444/1960-ford-f100-for-sale-in-smithfield-rhode-island-02917 https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/103160907 -

"I still don't understand why there was no decal for the FORD on the back of the truck or why there are no inside walls for the truck bed. Makes it look kinda stupid." Well, Eric, I'm thinking [and I may be wrong about this] is that there's no inside walls in the bed because the real trucks didn't have them either. But you got it together and that's what counts. ? -
78-79 Monte Carlo Conversion

I don't think it's so much not a good replica as it is over priced and overcomplicated for a car kit. Only car kit I've ever seen with separate guides on the head rests for the seat belts. Think "Fujimi Enthusiast kit" complicated at the price of 3 regular kits. The price was what drove me off. Here's a link to the instructions. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/trumpeter/trumpeter-1978-chev/#media -
I thought I had commented on this last week, I remember typing it out but?? Anyway, I have a rebuilder of the first 4X4 issue, that would have been the second issue from about '79,IIRC. I've built an original issue annual a few years ago ['78?] and have a copy of the first of the modern reissues with the blue 4X4 on the box but I've never seen anything wrong with the cab corners. Do you mean the earlier ['67/'72] trucks, Rick?

The LT-1 and LT-5? , yea, completely different engine. The LT-1 is a pretty basic hi-output Chevy small block, the '90s Corvette LT-5 was a quad over head cam monster developed for Chevy by Lotus.

OMG! I don't know what it's supposed to be but I sure can tell what it started as. ? -
Looks pretty good to me. Only real difference from the Vette kit's engine is the headers don't have cats attached and there's no Corvette lettering anywhere on the intake. It's very similar beside that with small differences in the sculpting detail. BTW, the "Boyd's Hauler" has a regular LT-1, not the 4 cam LT-5 It's a very nice kit but it's 1/24 scale. Yes, I'm a "scale bigot". ?
-
Yes, but not a Vette. It's from the "Wagonrod" kit.
-
I have definitely seen them. There's a couple models on the "Wheels are Everything" blog site built by the owner wearing them. Don't know who makes them though. Great site, BTW. http://www.wheelsareeverything.

I figured I'd put the most radical '90s Chevy engine in it so, what would that be? Well the Corvette ZR-1' s LT5. Took some grinding on the crossmember under the engine and shortening the hump in the oil pan to get it to fit in there but it finally fit. I also scratched up an insert got the grille from sheet stock and strip stock.
