  1. Well, bet you guys didn't know it but I have a "hybrid" in the garage , , , , Get this ,, the Trans Am uses a battery powered electric motor to start the gas powered 5 liter engine !! ??
  2. WHAT !!! LEFT FOOT??? ?
  3. I was just looking at my copy of the annual a few minutes ago, I specifically looked for those issues you mention and couldn't see any problems with mine. Were you referring to the annual or the simpler, "Craftsman Plus" kit
  4. Do you have any idea how hard it is to text when you need one hand to work the steering thingy and one to work that gear thingy? ?
  5. Got the engine finished and installed. Was going to go with a SBC but decided I wanted something different this time.
  6. Got the bodywork done except for a couple pin holes in the grille surround. Removed the rub strips on the sides and have it in primer. I think I'll start paint today.
  7. Not seeing any Demon grilles, John. Must be sold out.
  8. Could also be this one?? [edit] Looking at both, I think the kit is closer to this car. https://www.dhrofgo.com/sold/1965-lola-t70-mki-spyder-chassis-sl703/ BTW, anyone know what that beautiful pearl blue is exactly?
  9. This page might come in useful Karl. I'm not 100% sure it's the exact same car but I think it is from what the writeup says. The intake and carbs are not like in the kit though. [I also have that kit] https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/124153/lola-t70-mk1-sl7012
  10. Yes, that's just the color of the paper backing.
  11. Oh, OK, I get it, you mean "No way ,, this is cool", got it. Hard to tell without context. ?
  12. I've been working on this for a couple weeks now, you may have seen it in the "community builds" section. I already have 2 involved projects on the go but sometimes you get an idea in your head that just won't wait. ? Anyway, I plan to build a couple of these trucks and this is the first. Started with a glue bomb I picked up at a show a few years ago. Rough but almost complete. For it, I cast a couple copies of the GMC style grille surround I made from scratch over 30 years ago. I did get 3 copies but the original was old and fragile and didn't survive the process. Plans are for a silver over white 2-tone, the traditional "4/6" drop and riding on a set of Ferrari 5-spokes with Gatorback tires. Here's what I'm starting out with , , , The front edge of the roof and hood were damaged by the 1/2 tube of glue used to attach junk to them. The hood was easily repaired with putty but the roof needed the area over the windshield rebuilt. I'm also making the rear pan from scratch.
  13. What do you mean no way that's cool? Not a fan of that car myself but I think a lot of people will think it is cool.
  14. MPC/AMT started putting the Gatorbacks in their kits a year or two after this kit was issues. A lot of AMT kits made after about 1991 or '92 had them like the Corvettes, F-bodies and Mustangs as well as the custom option in a lot of other kits. These fit the wheels in the kit. I know the current AMT '86 Shelby charger has a set, not sure which size those ones are, they came in 3 sizes.
  15. , , , PLUS, and I don't think many people know this, but if you order Ray's decals directly from his website you can specify your own licence plates and choose what tire decals you want. IIRC, he will do custom colors too.
  16. Looks great. Still working on my delivery version. Not to be that guy but ,, you need to turn those tail lights 90 degrees so the tiny Chevrolet bow-tie emblems are not on their sides. ?
  17. To expand on that,, I'm wondering how the AMT/MPC interior fits in the Revell cab? Might have to check that out later, I think I can find the cab I have and definitely know where my MPC kit is.
  18. Sorry, the pics didn't turn out but,,,, I have been working on the interior and have it all in white now. Haven't decided to go with basic black dash and carpet or go with a darker version of the fuchsia body color. Right now I'm thinking go with the darker fuchsia something like in this pic,,,,
  19. Yes, they're very nice wheels I've used them myself and have some saved for future projects.
  20. IIRC, those are from the old tool AMT '57 Chevy.
  21. I think you may already have posted the answer Mike.
  22. He said in his first post that those are the kits he's looking for, not the ones he wants to trade off.
  23. This kit has one , , , IF you can find one.
  24. Yea, just a few blocks north of Winsor Ontario.
