  1. Absolutely, Charlie. With a keen eye and some patience, some good deals can be had.
  2. Largescaleplanes uses an older version of this same software, but of course it's about aircraft modeling, not hippie culture, though many members there used to be hippie types.
  3. I used those for a long time, Harry, and hope to never use them again. I do all of my drawings now using AutoCAD, and will probably never do hand drawings again.
  4. It's the online auctions I was referring to. Perhaps I should have been more specific, sorry about that. Here's a link.
  5. Check the Goodwill auctions. They show up from time to time.
  6. It can happen that way when you compete against yourself in the same category. I try not to ever enter more than one model per category for exactly that reason.
  7. Very nice, Joe. I've seen a modified version of that same scheme (JG 27) depicted elsewhere very nicely, possibly in the Kagero book.
  8. That's real nice, Joe. I love the '68 through 70 muscle cars.
  9. Work continues at a snails pace, but at least I now have the spare tire base coated with the Blazing Black.
  10. This looks great!
  11. I've now adjusted the rear and front end. The front is not quite as low as I'd like, but I think I'll leave it this way.
  12. Though I'm a comparative newbie here, all the posts I ever saw from him were amiable. Always sad to lose a decent person and brother modeler. This all seems rather abrupt, does anyone know what the cause of his death was?
  13. Another snag, but I guess I'll just move on past it;... kit has no decals for the dash! I'll check what little spares I currently have, but don't have a lot of hope of finding anything. On the next Vic, I'll probably hunt down some AM stuff.
  14. Interesting ideas, HP, I'll keep them in mind. Over the course of the next dozen or so cars, I intend to do a little experimentation with different colors/effects. We'll see what happens there I guess.
  15. I like that Victoria a lot. My brother had a '55 Crown Vic, and loved it.
  16. Very nifty. I have a buddy that will really get a kick out of this.
  17. That's funny,... sad, but funny.
  18. Very nice looking truck. Good job.
  19. I like it a lot. From certain angles, it looks like a real car. Nice job.
  20. Dennis & Brett, I hadn't realized the kit was altered, so that makes perfect sense. What you say about all the extra parts is very true, and I hadn't thought about that at all. I have a strong desire to do both a full fendered street rod, as well as a completely stock '29, so I'll hunt down the AMT kit as suggested. Thanks,
  21. I just don't understand why they didn't include full fenders in the '29. Had they done so, I'd be grabbing several. As it is now, I doubt I'll buy even one.
  22. Roughly a year ago, I moved from my house where I had a fully dedicated hobby room. Now I work on the dining room table. Soon (probably in the next few months), I'll be building new benches in the basement, but I'll have no dedicated room as such.
