  1. That bad boy needs some Chrome reversed wheels on it! Looking great too. BTW, I would not have considered it a glue bomb at all, I am working on a Marlin I had to cut the interior out of and use a dremel to remove the windows!
  2. Another suggestion, paint the timing cover Aluminum since that's what they were. Be sure the squared part of the valve cover is in the front also.
  3. Problem I had when I purchased a few sheets, it began to wrinkle, then when I peeled it it came apart at the wrinkle. I tossed 3 sheets cuz they were so bad I couldn't salvage anything over 1/2 inch
  4. I'd want to build the Glidden Pro Stock and some fictional ones also. a nice Turbo or SHO powered one would be cool. I see one everyday cuz I drive it. But I am weird too.
  5. All I know is I want one. No, not paying $120 for it tho. I'd love to see the EXP again also. They were nice kits.
  6. HAHAHAHA.... We posted them at same time also. I'd like to see this also.....
  7. Watching this build. Heard bad things but it sure looks good built.
  8. Supercharger option! Woo Hoo. I am gonna get one of these probably. If I can fix the rear quarters fairly easy an figure the front bumper issue, I may get another. Surely (sadly too) will not be as many as the stash of Fairlane 500's I have
  9. If you look close, I bowed the front down starting at the center of the front wheels. Stands out next to a stock body build. Thanks for the comments. These are usually my slump buster builds. Got a bit carried away with details on this one tho.
  10. Sweet looking ride. Nice conversion w/the 57 Chrysler. I am on the interior bandwagon with the others tho.
  11. I still want to see pics of the actual kit so I can make a decision on if I want one.
  12. Revell has the molds for a bunch of nice engines: Chevy 409 from the Impalas, 427 from the Thunderbolt, Ardun, Cad, Blown Hemi. Would that not save cost by not molding another engine? Why not add one or two. Give us a choice to put something different in. The next release of the kit, add something different. Sorry, the SBC is just to ho-hum
  13. I was speaking of the stock car version. Has a stock body with all the trim, but there is a hole in the quarter for the fuel neck, and there is no scoop. With the interior from the Promo/Johan, and Chassis from the stock car, a very nice kit can be built.
  14. Thanks... I think the build was about 2 weeks working for a few hours before bed while watching TV.
  15. I like how you kept the shock towers. These builds are fun.
  16. Wow, I have one and it looks pretty good. Chassis I did not like, but it is an old MPC mold
  17. get the snapper, cut the hood out and cast it. The scoop is not that easy. I tried and failed miserably.
  18. They also had a 72/73 Torino (not Gran Torino) It was the base model car. I had one like this after high school, but it was metallic pea green. Had a 351 with a 4 speed, and it was a four door. Wish I still had it. Fun car to play on the street.
  19. Ya missed a few things Dave, the Johan Stock car needs the gas filler hole filled on the rear quarter, and the hood does not have the scoop that the Sports do. It does have an accurate frame and suspension for a stock build tho.
  20. Awesome!!! I want some too!
  21. I never liked freestyle.... just a way to tear up the trucks
  22. Build it! Dare to be different. I had a guy at a flea market get pissed cuz I wanted to unseal a vintage kit that I was interested in. I finally laid my money down and said "If it what it should be in the box, I'll take it. If it is not, I am taking my money" I opened and it was what it was supposed to be. Then he went on to tell me I "destroyed" the value. I just looked at him and said "I'm building it, I do not care" And as an FYI, the factory shrink wrap can be duplicated.
