Great job! Ya won the pole first time out.
I have one on the back burner. Been thinking of doing full detail and plumbing, but as I looked at reference photos I am rethinking it. Would take me a year to do.
Is pointing out apparent visual flaws really considered bashing? Reason I ask is because I pretty much was the one that pointed out the body issues.
Will it keep me from buying one? No, but it will keep me from buying several.
Do not feel bad about the little paint problem. I am working on a GTO that has been fighting me all the way. It is in the Purple bath for the 4th time!
Keep plugging along, it looks great so far. You painting details will stand out nicely when finished.
Looks good.
Ernie was never the same after that Michigan crash. Competetive? Yes
In 1994, when he crashed, he missed the last 11 races and still finished 22nd in points
She's clean, underneath looks like the hood. Love the stupid thing and it gets 39 MPG on the road, more if I keep the speed down a bit.
Now wears Contour wheels
That bad boy needs some Chrome reversed wheels on it!
Looking great too.
BTW, I would not have considered it a glue bomb at all, I am working on a Marlin I had to cut the interior out of and use a dremel to remove the windows!
Problem I had when I purchased a few sheets, it began to wrinkle, then when I peeled it it came apart at the wrinkle. I tossed 3 sheets cuz they were so bad I couldn't salvage anything over 1/2 inch
I'd want to build the Glidden Pro Stock and some fictional ones also. a nice Turbo or SHO powered one would be cool.
I see one everyday cuz I drive it. But I am weird too.
Supercharger option! Woo Hoo. I am gonna get one of these probably. If I can fix the rear quarters fairly easy an figure the front bumper issue, I may get another. Surely (sadly too) will not be as many as the stash of Fairlane 500's I have
If you look close, I bowed the front down starting at the center of the front wheels. Stands out next to a stock body build. Thanks for the comments. These are usually my slump buster builds. Got a bit carried away with details on this one tho.
