  1. That is really nice!
  2. Dunno why, I always liked this Olds pic
  3. Great looking build. Would never believe it was your first
  4. Is the Buddy Baker Charger essentially the same? Box Stock looks good on that build. Sure is sweet.
  5. Andy, would you be able to tell us what the upper inside front fender of the '57 Ford actually looks like? Revell's Del Rio still has that low inner fender well that interferes with lowering the model (and would seriously impede suspension travel if it were a real car!) It's been a long time since I had my last real '58 Ford, so my memory's not quite clear on that aspect, but I don't think it had much of an inner fender well, which was why they always rotted out over the headlights. Does this help? I could take other pics if needed. It looks as if the Revell follows the fender opening and is too low above the upper control arm. As seen in the second pic, the inner fender is above the trim line (note the hole for the trim) There is about 3 1/2" from the flat area to the fender lip (area behind washer bag) on the 1:1 it would be able to lower the car a good bit, but eventually would interfere with the tire.
  6. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.... buy a kit car for a bit more.....
  7. Things like this are trivial. Use another rear from a different kit. Simple.
  8. Yes, the Edsel lights from the AMT 57
  9. That engine is amazing. I cannot wait til you fire it up! Huh? That is the engine for a model? Well I'll be a monkeys uncle!
  10. Very nice, I really like the blacked out wheels and red interior. Paint is great
  11. Was looking for something recently and decided to check Ebay since I had not bought any car stuff from there in awhile. Well, I think the sellers are on something for sure. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-1-2-1968-5-Original-Hood-Scoop-and-Hood-428-CJ-Cobra-Jet-Mustang-R-Code-/151769619093?hash=item23562c9a95&vxp=mtr
  12. I do not have the Del Rio in hand yet, but have a donor AMT 57 Fairlane to correct the body and the scale to the Revell 57 is really close, therefore the Edsel should be also. I have a set of 58 Edsel wagon tail light bezels and lenses ready.
  13. Well, as long as I have an AMC engine in it. The body and bumpers are all that were salvageable from the original build. Had to fix all the sink marks from the glue on the body, dremel out the windshield and part of the interior tub. Thanks for all the info guys
  14. Looking pretty cool
  15. Looks great! Old tool or not, it is a great kit. The addition of the quarter trim really completes it.
  16. I would not either...... I try to use as few SBC engines in kits as possible. 409 is my go to engine unless it is a mid 60's or newer car, then it is 396/454.... and they go in Chevys
  17. I'll have to check my Matador stock car. Wonder if it is like the Pepsi Chevelle? It actually has a Ford engine...... I may end up with a Gremlin kit..... What to put in there then? Boss 429 maybe..... Thanks!
  18. What kit has the best AMC V8? Looking for an engine for my 66 Marlin stock car build. The kit started as a glue bomb an was not salvageable, I think half a tube of glue was used on the engine alone!
  19. Hmmm... there must be a way around the built-in exhaust because if you notice in the photo, there's a short pipe right behind the front tires... Just shave off the exhaust pipes carefully and cutout the muffler and replace with plastic sheet.Take your time and make careful cuts and it will turn out fine. exactly... I added the ribs back in the floor with plastic strips. Other than that, nice kit
  20. Very good looking build. I have yet to finish one
  21. Very cool looking build
  22. Looking for the AMT Cougar Funny car
  23. I have the Candies and Hughes kit...... Trades?
