  1. Makes sense to release this kit since the Chevy II wagons are out there now. How long til the drag combo is released?
  2. I'd look for original photos and compare with other pictures. I believe the one is Las Vegas is the original comparing photos.
  3. Nice Willy's. I actually think the Coke theme looks pretty BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH good.
  4. Really sharp build. I personally like the color choice. Are you gonna build the bullet ridden car also?
  5. Cool... never knew about that car
  6. Other than the Dyno Don car, those are the non-wagon Pintos from MPC. Yes, they are very different. The Chassis on the MPC kits is nicely detailed.
  7. The MPC 78 pinto wagon was retooled to the 1980 wagon. The MPC 78 Pinto hatchback just vanished. Hopefully they find it. The 78 could be backdated and would work for the 71-76 with just bumper/grille and valance changes. Body/interior and chassis all remain the same. Wishful thinking at my best.
  8. Thank you..... New to the big rig scene. So now I need to search out a California hauler.
  9. How different is this kit from the Peterbuilt 359 AMT/Ertl released in 2002? The red one missing the fuel tanks and mudflaps on the box art.
  10. It was a thought, but I have too many "projects" in the fire.
  11. Here is a pic but I have not opened the plastic. On the left is the fender flared body, on the right is the stock body. Anyone need the stock one? I have no use.
  12. Does anybody know if the hood from this kit fits the Foose Ford truck?
  13. Picked up the Revell Baja Bronco and '64 442 at Hobby Lobby today.
  14. I just picked up the Revell Baja Bronco and was surprised it came with both bodies. The Baja body has a sticker on it saying "correct baja body" Is this normal?
  15. Both look great. I am a bit biased though, although simple this is one of my favorite kits.
  16. They look really good!
  17. Great job on those!!!
  18. Going to try to locate a 442 this week. Robberbaron, you should have asked to open to inspect the contents. I know there was one damaged at a HL near me and the allowed me to inspect a damaged box before purchase
  19. I read there was a DOHC YBlock but cannot find info. Y Blocks are my normal go to on Hot Rods so I am always looking for inspiration. Interesting Y block read if interested https://www.curbsideclassic.com/cc-global/cc-global-ford-argentina-fairlane-with-292-v8-the-y-block-gets-a-high-performance-second-act-in-argentina/
  20. The cylinder head length on the 1/24 Thunderbird engine is 13/16" Center to center on the outer exhaust ports is 11/16"
  21. Agree. The opening parts are a little finicky but some patience pays off
  22. They look pretty good in my opinion. Maybe shrink the flange size a bit and try to leave the port spacing pretty close to what you have. That set may work on the 56 Thunderbird from Monogram because it is 1/24. I will dig up my 1/24 engine and measure the head length. Nice job for sure.
  23. Weslake Y-block, built by Harry Weslake's famous British racing and aircraft engine company. The engine features aluminum heads with "Industria Argentina" cast onto them, which indicates that it was likely developed after Ford sent its Y-block tooling to South America. After some digging, I think a SBF head will work for starting to replicate one in scale. Very interesting what they did in Argentina.
  24. They do dump slightly towards the block. As for the casting bumps No biggie if they are not there..... to me at least
  25. Looks great!!!! If these are successful, I'd like to purchase some. I have a stalled kit awaiting these. I was gonna look for some SBC manifolds to modify but I am going to hang tight
