  1. $110 for the 58 Olds
  2. No no no. All my Edsel parts were $30 total
  3. I do not think so. As an FYI, everything in the picture was $30. Compared to some Ebay parts I have seen sell, I thought it was fair.
  4. Not sure if anyone has used them or heard of them. I just purchased some resin parts for my 59 Edsel and will update on the quality. https://www.facebook.com/Decko-Car-Company-1698695280207130/
  5. Well, I got lucky, the Imperial tail lights were in the box with the kits. What I will be searching out is the tail lights for the 59 Edsel.
  6. Back on April 5th I posted some pics of some kits a friend found in his barn. Well he found some more and again gave them to me. I offered to buy them but he said just take them. Most missing pieces were in the box they were in. For now, they are getting cleaned, loose pieces bagged and marked, and they will be displayed as-is. I'll rebuild them later... maybe.
  7. Didn't the 62 Chevy have the same roof? Just a thought? but.... did they have the plans for the 49 Merc and Ford? 57 Chevy and Ford? Probably not, and those are about dead on. Now Revell's 57 Chevy sedan is a really nice kit, the 57 Fords on the other hand are disasters.
  8. Wow.... Sorry this happened. Glad it will be rebuilt.
  9. Now, not being as knowing on the Chevy's, I do see that the C pillar does look a bit thin. I will need to dig out my 63 and 64 Chevy's to compare. The Revell 63 looked horrible to my "Ford" eyes when I took it out of the box. Sat on the shelf a long time til I flipped it for something else. These old kits were made by artists....
  10. The rear is just the bumper guard locations, other than that, same bumper. I said the front would be a stating point is all. The center of the Torino is close, but ends need worked. That being said, not all Thunderbirds had the bumper guards and rub strips.
  11. For those wanting the Pinto, there is no waiting for this one.....
  12. Rear should be easy, same as the Revell Torino, The Torino front can be a starting point. I like this A LOT
  13. Chad is back https://youtu.be/0IenX1oNUqc
  14. I am in the same boat. I think they have a sheet with multiple sizes though
  15. Cool concept and nice kit for a snap.
  16. Working on a Freightliner SD/DD build. This is only my second truck build, The Revell snap being the first. Well, being a car builder, the seams in the body did not cut it, I HAD ti fill them. Well, was lead to the resin rivet decals by another member to replace lost detail. Here is my question: What scale rivets will most closely match the existing rivets on the cab? I did not remove all rivets and just want to "replace ones I sanded. Anyone have pictures of a build with the rivets? Thank you in advance
  17. I have used shimmer and it works just fine. Do not wet sand it though. Removes color from the flake. This KW is purple shimmer.
  18. The Chassis is decent, the floor is bad. I ended up cutting the rear (under the rear seat) out of mine and raising it to make space for the mufflers so they did not hang down. Revell has the entire thing flat from cowl to rear end, it is not. As for the body, I will not even go there, I do not feel like typing that much.
  19. Ohhh... the Torino as a base would be horrid.... Just my opinion tho
  20. The kit engine is really nice.
  21. Looking great. I would suggest a 351 from any of the Revell/Monogram Nascar Thunderbird/Taurus kits. I would add a stack type injection though. Another great choice would be the engine from the Revell Super Stallion
