  1. Those guys had some "big ones" to drive those for sure. The build is looking great. Accurate or not, they are all cool kits.
  2. Looking awesome. Love these cars. Something looks a little off on the small B pillar window. Not sure what, but am providing a pic for your eyes. I could just be crazy......
  3. I like it. You do not see a lot of customs anymore.
  4. Yes, it is the LeMans Torino. The pics are to show that the Torino Frame would be the basis of the Nascar of that year. As for the forward strut on the front suspension, the Nascar Fords and many GM's used this configuration for years. Through the 70's, modified stock components were the norm unlike todays 100% fabricated cars
  5. those wheels and tires are a weak spot for these old 1/32 kits
  6. Fords used the same basic frame design from 65 til 79. In 72 the Torino got a frame very similar to the Galaxies and although there were modifications, the basic Torino/Montego,Cougar frame was used under the stock cars. The Revell/Monogram or AMT chassis from the Thunderbirds would be very close to correct. Here are some photos of the Woods Brothers car and you can see some stock components and even the stock rear spring location and frame rail. Don't shelf it, keep going. It will be an interesting build
  7. Those are neat little kits, but needed some plating to make them stand out. I'll be watching
  8. Looks cool... first I have seen it. I am with you... working on started kits myself.
  9. Gonna watch this. Do not like the S&H kit because of body issues, but should make a good Nascar build. The S&H engine is incorrect for the build tho. It is incorrect for the S&H build too. The block is Cleveland, but heads and intake are Windsor. The best Chassis for it would be the kit supplied one, just add the bracing and roll bars.
  10. Looking really nice. Obviously those "thingy's" are a poor attempt at throttle bodies. I think the lack of Turbos is the result of you cannot see them when it is built. Therefore, why tool them. Just my thought. Now, tear it apart and add some turbo's...... LOL!
  11. I guess I will be a flocking hold out since I have so much now. LMAO
  12. Very Nice... building one with a similar color on it.
  13. I have found some very thin and dense (not fuzzy) self adhesive felt at the craft store that makes good looking carpet. This Mustang II has the felt in it. I also use flocking a lot, and that gets pricey with all the different colors you may need until I found this..... now I have enough colors and flocking to last a lifetime.. Each little bag has A LOT of flocking. Will cover 3 sq ft!! That's a lot of builds per bag. http://www.craftflocking.com/Buy_Flocking.php
  14. Well, more money coming out of my pocket....... Been wanting one of these to go with my 36 Plymouth modified and trailer.
  15. Looks Great! I have a few un-builts and am unaware of the issues. Was there a write up? Not to be negative, just offering an FYI to anyone unfamiliar with the FE Ford. The valve covers are upside down, 3 bolts along the top, 2 along the bottom. Totally opposite of what you may think. Again, nit knocking the build at all. I have made similar mistakes.
  16. I started listing what I really liked about this build, but my fingers got tired.... Great job!
  17. Looks awesome.... Leave it alone.
  18. Looks really good. Always liked this kit and with a little extra work displays very nicely. Espo is right, the proportions on this kit are very good.
  19. What??????
  20. The real truck ended up in a junkyard... Luckily it was rescued and restored
  21. Molded hood? Change that. This was a busted up 63 promo with a molded hood. I am hoping R2 releases the 64 Galaxie and the 64 Comet, promo style or not.
  22. I'll be watching..... Have a similar "rescue" on the shelf to be done.
  23. Really? Over 1/2 off and nobody is jumping on it? You can make an offer too.... LOL
  24. Looking really good. Can't wait to see more.
