  1. That's some fine workmanship. Sounds like it is gonna look killer. But where did you get the invisible front suspension? I MUST HAVE IT!
  2. Rear suspension is done, front is almost done, but it is enough to allow me to mock-up to check the stance. Body not sanded yet, so a buttload of orange peel is visible. I'm liking the stance as it is
  3. I'm liking this build. I have checked out the parts box kits but will wait til I have more experience handling resin.
  4. http://www.one-twenty-fifthcustoms.com/ Ordered my first resin piece from these guys. Found them online and checked their site. Not the largest amount of items but a good price. I chose to get 3 pre-wired distributers and a tunnel ram set. From order til delivery was 10 days. Hassle free and good communication. The parts themselves are really nice and clean. Detail is awesome. I don't have any experience with resin parts, like I said. But I am extremely pleased with the parts I bought. Didn't find them on the list here so thought I would mention them. Cheers.
  5. I bit the bullet and ordered some more Alclad. Got the gloss klear kote and a bottle of aqua clear. Plus some micro gloss, micro kristal klear and bmf adhesive. I think the BMF i got is a bit old and the adhesive isn't great so gonna try this stuff to give it a better stick. I also ordered some resin parts for the first time! Getting a 49 merc from johnny flintstone, and found http://www.one-twenty-fifthcustoms.com/ an aussie supplier online so I bought a tunnel ram and carbies set plus a few pre wired dizzies. Gonna play with some resin woohoo! Heres what I got:
  6. Thanks Dom Couple of gallons??? You must vibrate with all that coffee in you. That would be handy for shaking up your paint bottles at least!
  7. lol... welcome back. A month should be enough!
  8. Thanks Roadrunner Yeah colour choice can be hard if it is not a replica. I tossed half a dozen colours around before choosing this one. Okay, not much of an update, but this is the third set of bits for this steering rack and I'm pretty happy with these so it should be going together tomorrow I hope.
  9. Love it! Just replied on another thread of a van. These things are sweet as. Nicely built mate.
  10. Cool as! They are Bedford van's over here and a lot of them run the Holden 6's and 8's. I always wanted one but the only time one came up which I could get it was far too rusty. This is a sweet looking build man.
  11. dang this is looking good man. Do you just build bikes because you like them or are you a rider also?
  12. Way cool to see that others still have those kits from 20 years ago that haven't been finished. I have a few myself...
  13. It's so shiny i want to lick it.
  14. very cool
  15. Thanks Rmpd Today I decided to install the diff and have a crack at the front end. Will update tomorrow maybe on this, but for now here is a taste. This thick thing with the holes in it is the kit's steering rack, which attached to a pin on the lower control arm of all things! I may end up using it if I stuff up completely, so have not tossed it out yet... But here is the steering box from my leftovers, kit unknown. I have a little fab work to make it almost similar kind of to the chevelle one if you squint really hard. And using rod for the rack I am bui8lding fr4om reference pics. Like I said, this may all go to hell soon enough lol Bits: Where I'm going...
  16. Ah thanks Chris. Just the answer I needed. Yeah Andy I could sand them but don't wanna screw around with the paint now. I might either flock over them or just give them a detail wash. Thanks for replying dudes
  17. that is a sweet looking clean stock build up dude. Looks like something that rolled off the factory floor. Awesome finish. I dig the use of flock as under bonnet deadener also, very schmick. Kudos
  18. Looks like if you got that thing going downhill at speed it would be a mobile toilet...
  19. completely rad dude. Fitting that the pics are taken in the snow also. Very cool (pun completely intended)
  20. Still using my iPhone so sorry about the pic quality. I did buy an SD card for the camera but it seems to want a micro one!
  21. Slow day, Had a late night out so took it easy today. Here is some progress: Got some flock down for the carpet: Painted the lettering on the tyres. Yeah, that's how dodgey I am! They are complete now: Have the rear kit shocks painted. The kit has no front shocks and only small springs due to the way the upper and lower control arms are set up, so I have made some springs and will be cutting down some shocks from a monster truck to add a little detail to the front suspension: And lastly, I have been working on the throttle return spring and linkage from the carby. Still have to scratch the accelerator linkages, but this is the return spring anyhow. Also a bunch of close ups of the fitted pieces:
  22. Thankyou Slusher Cheers TF
