  1. I've still got the sister to this snapper on my bench (the KW W900 aero) in progress. I did the same thing with the wheels/tires -- although fitting the Moebius wheels to it was a bit of a project by itself. I ended up boring out the wheels on my drill press so that I could fit a piece of brass tubing in them as a sleeve that goes over the kit axles. There might have been a simpler way, but that's what I did. So, does that "one coat lacquer" imply that you don't use a primer under it ? I've never tried that paint before.
  2. Interesting. Thanks for the post. I have some .015" music wire that I use on my micro indoor electric R/C planes. Not sure if that is too thick ?
  3. Thx -- what diameter of music wire ?
  4. HI -- Could some of you ?give some tips on creating scale CB antennas and how you attach them ? Thanks!
  5. Is there anyone that has an aftermarket 1/25 CB radio ? Looking to put one in my current build. Thanks !
  6. Thx Brian ! I'll go with "pretty close" and hopefully avoid a "paint bomb". I'm capable of creating one of those even with good paint !
  7. Well, I got to my bench for a while this weekend. It doesn't look like a lot of progress, but it was mostly more clean-up work. I did get some of the 903 primed. I'm still not sure which "red" paint to use on the 903 -- i.e. I know that DRIPTROIT has used the "Majic Tractor and implement" spray cans from Tractor Supply and they do have an "IH red". Or whether there is a good red from Testors/Model Master ?
  8. Thanks -- my brother-in-law's father passed away yesterday. Sometimes it seems like you just can't catch a break.
  9. Sorry for my extended absence here. I travel a fair amount for work, and have been struggling with some personal/health issues. I'm trying to get back to my bench again as a type of therapy (much needed). Thanks all for your understanding.
  10. I also had to relocate the rear cab rests as they were not in the correct location once I tilted the cab down.
  11. Very nice. I really wish they made a '68 Chevy half ton kit.
  12. I hear ya !!! Slow out of the gate for me too.
  13. I drove a '68 Chevy half-ton in high school. Had a 327 in it with 3-in-the-tree. I should look to see if that is out there as a kit.
  14. I was talking to the guy that owned the 1979 K-100 (pics in this section) and he was saying that back then guys were trying to get the Pete air ride on new KW trucks when they were ordering them from KW. He said the KW air ride was also way more expensive. I saw a lot of KWs at that show with this Pete air ride on them.
  15. Ok thanks -- I was hoping it was a bottle brush paint, but rattle can works too. Is the CAT yellow dupli-color too ? And did you clear it with some kind of dullcote?
  16. A few nice Pete 352's taken at the ATHS show in Des Moines IA May 2017.
  17. Taken at the ATHS show in Des Moines IA in May 2017.
  18. Also saw this beauty at the ATHS show in Des Moines last year. It was interesting to see the Pete air ride on this one too.
  19. Photos taken at the ATHS show in Des Moines last year.
  20. From the ATHS show in Des Moines last year.
  21. Some photos from the ATHS show in Des Moines last year. Lot of KWs at the show with Peterbilt air rides.
  22. Awesome. Which blue paint is that on the engine compressor ? Thanks
  23. Are the sides of the interior tub flush against the doors ? On mine, there is a gap between the side of the interior tub and the inside of the cab shell. Also -- when you put the chrome grill in the cab, does the front of the interior tub press against the grill when it is installed in the cab ? I wasn't clear on how that was supposed to fit. Thanks!
