  1. Yeah, me too -- but we can upload photos directly here, so I'm going to just do that going forward.
  2. OK... I'll volunteer to spin up a TAT 2018 then. I'll plan on starting it April 16 -- so we are past the big "excuse" of having to work on tax returns and let everybody get past that first :-) This will give me some motivation to actually FINISH something this year for a change ;-)
  3. Holy cow !! I'd like to come and shop in that hobby shop !!!
  4. WOW that looks great ! I'd volunteer to start the TAT 2018 thread -- but I don't want to step on any toes.
  5. Suhhhh-weeet !! I'll take that Freightliner !!!
  6. Amen on the 2-hole Budd wheels ! Speaking of box art, I've always wanted the trailer shown on the box to go with my Transtar II Eagle :-)
  7. From a post on another thread regarding the KW and Peterbilt color for engines: Peterbilt had mostly white engines up to 1984...even the Detroit Diesel's...that's quite funny tho' as the Detroit Diesels are known to leak oil almost everywhere. Both Peterbilt and Kenworth had white engines, Kenworth had them until 1975 and Peterbilt until 1984 as I said...but I have seen white engines on pictures of trucks newer than that and engine factory colors on trucks older than that, so there are exceptions to the rule.Caterpillar was appearently the last manufacturer to deliver white engines to Peterbilt.
  8. I'd LOVE a nice Timpte or Wilson grain trailer !!
  9. So... is there going to be a TAT 2018 ?
  10. I just placed an order on his site (paid with PayPal) -- no problems.
  11. Nice -- always love those 4200's.
  12. The ATHS site has a section of truck books there: http://store.aths.org/searchresults.asp?cat=1872
  13. That's a CAT 3406 -- I found several pics on google search: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/ff/Caterpillar_3406_engine_in_KW_W900_(right).jpg https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a1/Caterpillar_3406_engine_in_KW_W900_(left).jpg/1280px-Caterpillar_3406_engine_in_KW_W900_(left).jpg Also -- this site is great for these kinds of pictures. Just search on it for Caterpillar 3406: https://truckpartsinventory.com
  14. I snagged one 53' smooth side trailer. LHS confirmed that they can't get anymore Moebius trailers :-(
  15. Hopefully it has less flash than the other K100 kit.
  16. WOW .. super nice!! Will you be taking orders for kits ?? :-)
  17. Yes, I remember a friend of mine got one when I was 8 or 10 years old and it was beautiful (it was the F-4270). I've managed to accumulate (2) shrink-wrapped F-4270's and a shrink-wrapped Transtar II Eagle COE in my "stash". The Transtar II Eagle is my all time favorite -- got my first ride in a big rig in this truck when I was a kid. If they would only make these kits again.... <sigh>
  18. Very very nice ! I'm working on this kit myself right now and man, those front leaf springs are a pain in the posterior !! Tamiya putty and sand, rinse and repeat ;-)
  19. Off to my local hobby shop to scarf up whatever is left on the shelf and make room in the "stash" :-) It's sad, but thanks for the heads-up.
  20. Nice ! I was curious how you were going to get into all those nooks and crannies when painting. Did you use an airbrush ? or is that from a rattle can ? Thanks!
  21. That baby is one of my all-time favorites !!!! I've got 2 of them still shrink wrapped in my "stash".
