  6. The build has been done beautifully!!! Makes me want to pull mine out of retirement and finish it. Nice work!
  7. I did try to scrape it off. It's on pretty good! I'll try something else and maybe I can dissolve it off.
  8. Thank you ……. I do use one of the soft make up brushes but, seems like crud sticks on and needs polishing to get the final off.
  9. I know, I know, ….. another real dusty model from the shelf. The problem here is, I never clear coated this model and I'm afraid that if I start cleaning it then, all the decals are going to flake off. So for now, it's staying dusty! I thought to share this anyway .. Any good pointers how to clean this without ruining these decals? I love the Willys and have several on the go - like the '41 Panella truck and the "Lil John Lombardo truck for instance. Thanks for looking. Enjoy
  10. Finally dusted off one of my Willys that have been on the shelf for many yrs. What I noticed was that the tips of the headers are all crusty. I used a soldering tube and have no idea what this stuff is. It's pretty hard stuff and not sure how to get this crud off. Any ideas ???? Thank you

  18. Really looks great!!! Nice job ..
  19. I haven't been to the Kit Collectors Expo in many yrs. I started going about 20 yrs ago and went on a regular basis back in the day. It was always so much fun!! What I noticed today was about 85% of the show is aircraft related. It used to be mostly cars but has turned towards aircraft and military. I've never seen so many airplane models and military books at one of these shows. What's happening??
  20. I built this so long ago that I can't remember. I know I had a couple Pro Stock kits as parts. It might have been the Bob Glidden kit. Thanks for the compliments.
  21. Most people are familiar with the Airoso Bros Willys as being blue in color. But, their first car was actually Root Beer in color and this is the one I wanted to build. This is built off the Mazmanian kit and I real only had one original b/w photo of the car to go off of. Here it is: Another dusty model off the shelf with cob webs!!!
  22. Built this off the Mazmanian kit when it first came out. Added a few extras like wires and fuel lines. Added parachute cable and line. I cut out the head lights and put blue clear lenses in as the real car had. Built the correct headers for it out of solder wire but they are all crusty right now and need a scraping. Again, another dusty model but this one I remember cleaning off a couple yrs ago so, not as bad as the others.
  23. Pulled another one off the shelf and check out that dust!! I'll clean this one off soon and try to get a little polish on it, then shoot a couple more pics. I wiped my finger down the front fender and you can see how dusty this things is. I have many more Willys full of dust too! Hope you guys don't mind seeing them like this ….. all dirty!
  24. Built this in 1985 and as I mentioned in other posts, I'm starting to pull some old kits out of their boxes that I built a long time ago. This one was an idea I had for my own Willys pick up at the time. I liked the Pro Gas - Pro Street look.
