  1. Great looking build!! Nice work!!
  2. First of all, Excellent work! This thing looks great! It really looks the part. Second, thanks for posting this! I have looked at these before and to me they seemed to look a bit toyish. However, your finished build doesn’t look toyish at all. It looks great! I might have to give one of these a try myself.
  3. Went to the store in Mooresville NC. They had a nice display set up that had the Rat Fink trailers, but no trucks. I looked around the rest of the store and hidden in the back on roll around carts, wedged in between the carpet, to the point you had to literally dig them out, were quite a few toys. There were several of the 4070a Rat Fink trucks. I picked up 3. One thing that I have learned about Ollie stores, is to check the entire store before giving up. The last go around, I found the semi kits in various places around the store.
  4. This looks awesome! Very convincing! Excellent work!!

  12. Thanks Brian!! Thanks Tommy!! I don't think speeding tickets will be a problem!? Thanks David!! Thanks Jim!! Thanks Chris!! Thanks Steve!! I am trying to build this Carolina fleet to be show trucks that only hook to a trailer for a show, so I was trying to replicate very light wear. Thanks Bob!! I have bought my share of red paint this year.? Thanks Alberto!! Thanks for identifying the origin of this one as well! I did use the windshield and rear glass along with the headlights and buckets out of the pickup kit. Thanks Scott!! I remember the Carolina trucks very well, but I don't seem to remember seeing any F8000s at all, but my memory isn't what it used to be either. Thanks Justin!! Thanks Andrew!! Thanks Warren!! Thanks Victor!! If I ever get them all done, I plan to do a group picture. Thanks Chuck!! I am actually having the decals made now to make a refrigerated trailer. I am working on a B-Model now and then possibly a 4070a 73" cab, and then the trailer.
  13. Looks Great! Nice replica! I like the larger wheels and tires, I think that they look better!
  14. Charles, your builds always amaze me. It is hard to believe that all of this was made from scratch. I wish that I had half of your talent. I have picked up a few pointers from you over the years though. This build looks awesome top to bottom! Excellent work all the way!
  15. That looks Awesome! Excellent work!
  16. This is a resin cab from an unknown source. The chassis is built from leftover parts. Power is a 3208 Cat, 13 speed transmission.
