  1. My favorite readily available wheels are the 22” from Jamie at Moluminum. He also offers 20” wheels, but I like the 22” better. These are available. If his website says “out of stock” contact him directly. Double Take has started back up. His wheels are nice as well, but I have not caught them in stock. ST supply has them from a couple of different suppliers. These are readily available too. He also bought Scenes Unlimited’s molds, but I am not sure if he has them released yet. You may be able to find someone who has some Scenes Unlimited wheels that they are willing to part with. Clint Freeman made some nice D hole wheels, but they are a rare find. There are 3d printed versions that show up from time to time on Ebay as well, but I don’t have any experience with them.
  2. Thanks Tommy! I cut out the indentions on the back of the cab, started working on the engine, put together a frame out of scrap.
  3. Charles, your work never ceases to amaze me!
  4. You have done some amazing work on this one! It looks great! The details you are adding really puts this one over the top. Excellent work!
  5. Thanks Jim!! Thanks Helmut!! I never saw any working Carolina trucks this clean either. I decided to make this one represent a restored truck. Thanks Warren!! I haven't driven it far enough to get an idea of the mileage.? Thanks Tommy!! Thanks Justin!! Thanks Ken!! Thanks Force!! Thanks Steve!! Thanks!! Old fleet trucks are my favorite! The 70s and 80s are my favorite era. Thanks Jeff!! Thanks Scott!! I remember them too, and it doesn't seem that long ago either. ? Thanks Brian!! Thanks Steve!! I remember back in the 80s that truck bumpers seemed to get bent all of the time; deer, dogs, etc.. I don't know if this is truly the reason, but a driver told me that the short bumpers were to keep the bumper from being pushed back into the steer tire causing the truck driver to be unable to steer the truck, for example if a deer was hit. Of course there could have been multiple reasons. The company that my dad worked for put a small bumper on a Freightliner to save about 30lbs. Thanks Mario!! I agree, outside pictures do look a little better, at least for my builds. Thanks! You're right. I built this one to represent a restored unit. Thanks Philippe!! Thanks Victor!! I may end up with a Carolina fleet.
  6. That looks awesome! I can’t wait to see this one done!
  7. Thanks for the info Charles. Looking at yours, I think that your casting was a bit more accurate than mine.
  8. That looks amazing Charles! Did you have to modify the headlights, if so how?
  9. Nice looking Peterbilt. Very clean!
  10. I’m not sure who cast this one. It will be powered by a 3208 Cat. The headlights were a bit off. I modified them a bit to help it a little and I cut open the hood.
  11. Great job! I always liked the tail lights on these trailers.
  12. The next one is going to be Carolina as well, maybe the next two.
  13. That is a sharp looking rig!! Nice work!!
  14. This is an A.IT.M. cab on an AMT Louisville chassis. It has 8v-71 Detroit power, Clint Freeman 2 hole Budd wheels, Double Take steer tires, Scenes Unlimited drive tires, and various other parts box items. This is meant to depict a restored tractor.
  15. This one is about wrapped up. I will be posting Under Glass soon.
  16. My decals proved to be a little small, but I am going with it. Moving along though.
