  1. I really like what you have come up with here! The grille looks great! Did you rotate the fenders forward and add to the back? I like the frameless dump idea too! What kind of hinges are you using on the doors? They look great! Excellent work!!
  2. Looks great as a day cab! I used to think that all of the fit problems on these AMT truck kits were because I was a kid and didn’t know what I was doing, now over 40 years later they still don’t fit properly.?
  3. Excellent replica indeed! Excellent job opening the doors. How did you do the cab? Did you use the back of the old MPC cab on the AMT cab? I’m assuming that you used the MPC dashboard? Just curious. I like that you removed the rear ridge in the front fenders, I did the same thing on my last R-Model. Excellent work all around!
  4. Beautiful Titan! Excellent work!
  5. I like that added diamond plate to the bed. Looks great!!
  6. Thanks Jim!! Thanks Steve! Thanks Joe! Thanks Victor!! Thanks Bill!! Thanks Philippe!! Thanks Ken!! Thanks Chris!! Thanks Helmut!! Thanks Warren!! The battery box is styrene from the parts box, but I don’t remember what kit it came from.
  7. Thanks for all of the comments guys! This one is now Under Glass! Thanks Scott! Charles Rowley made the Mclean door decals for me. He does excellent work! The Mclean decals on the mud flaps are Gopher decals.
  8. I use aluminum sheet for lots of things including dump bed with plastic ribs. The room that my models are in varies between 58 and 70 degrees throughout the year and nothing is in direct sun light. I have never had any problems. Larger temperature variations may affect it though. Looks great with the metal Jeff!
  9. This was built on an AMT Chevrolet Titan chassis. It is powered by a 903 Cummins. The casting was pretty rough, probably an amateur copy of the old Jamar fuberglass cab. The drive tires are my last Clint Freeman tires.
  10. Very nice looking build! Makes me want to build something fancy. Excellent work!
  11. Any news on this one?
  12. I shaved all of the air ride stuff off of the frame in my T800 dump. It was a real pain and took some repair. What about using the front section of the Revel frame and the rear section of the AMT?
  13. Thanks for the comments guys! This cab was a lot rougher than I thought. It was covered with little resin balls that looked like welding slag. I assume from air bubble holes in the mold. These sanded off pretty easily. However it was full of pin holes, I mean full. It was pretty wavy as well. It is a fleet truck though. I know that it could have been gotten smoother, but I was tired of sanding. ? So here it is with a little paint. I still have to make the interior and intake for it.
  14. Great looking build! I really like those flat top double bunks! Nice work!!
  15. Looks great! The weather is very nice! I like the seat!
  16. Those modifications made such a huge improvement on this build. I’m glad to see the ride height with the blocks removed. It looks great! Excellent work!
  17. Thanks guys! Yes this one is going to be a basic fleet truck belonging to Mclean Trucking. No Warren, the new release is the Road Commander II. This is the old Road Commander based off of the old 7400 cab. I think these were originally cast in fiberglass by Jamar. The previous one that I built was fiberglass. This one appears to be a copy of a fiberglass release (not sure by who) and it was pretty rough. The good news is that it sands much easier than fiberglass, so it seems to be cleaning up pretty quickly. I do have the new Road Commander II cab and it is very nice. Thanks to everyone who has commented so far!!
  18. This is on a Chevy Titan chassis. It has a Cummins 903 out of the Ertl 4200. It will have weed burner exhaust. Drive tires are Clint Freeman.
  19. Gary Wallace offered styrene frame rails that I believe were cut with a CNC machine. There were a few sizes available to match kit frames. I think that they were about 16” long. I still have some but would have to dig them out. They were slick (no detail) and worked great. If I understand correctly, resin tends to sag over time. I think that is why Dave added metal to his axles. I would be curious as to whether 3d resin would sag on a long frame rail. I know that there is a supplier offering 3d frame extension kits, but I don’t know how well they hold up. But to answer your question, I think slick, straight rails that someone could add their own detail to would be the way to go.
  20. Looks great!! I like the modified breather!
  21. You are the Master at these trucks! Excellent work!
