  1. Thanks!! The cab is resin and is from Illini Replica Conversions, the engine is resin and came from Spaulding Trading and Shipping, but the engine comes in the recently re-released AMT Super Boss Kenworth. Thanks Brian!! The problem is that the more I look, the more flaws I see L.O.L..
  2. Thanks Tom!! I'm a cabover man too. Thanks Michael! I picked up some tips from you as well. Thanks for the encouraging words Dan Thanks Kevin! It was different than my normal builds, but it almost makes me want to build another custom. !
  3. Looks Great!!! I like the cab lights!!!
  4. I really like what you've come up with! Nice work!!
  5. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement! Thanks Terry!! You have been an encouragement during this entire build! Not to mention your inspiring builds! It definitely has flaws though. I was thinking that a flatbed may need to be in its future though. Thanks Andrew! I always enjoy your builds here and over on Hank's.
  6. Thanks for the help Leo. According to the owner the front half of the frame is original and the rear half is Peterbilt that was welded to the original. I've done searches, but haven't found any real info on this cab as far as tilting. I found an article by an owner of one of these that said that you accessed the engine by swinging out the fenders. So, did they all tilt or only the later ones, or were some converted to tilt like the Bullnose KW? This one looks like the back of the cab is bolted down: IMG_1566 by Brian Smith, on Flickr On the ones that tilt, does the grill tilt as well or does it stay. The one in the photo has an Iron Lung Cummins in it. I'm planning a build of one of these and I have an Iron Lung Cummins, but I don't want to waste it if it's going to be hid under a cab that doesn't tilt. Thanks again for all of the help.
  7. This is a question for all of you red power guys and old truck guys. Did they ever make a High Binder like this that tilts? I've seen the smaller gas burners with tilt cabs, but not these with the swing out fenders. Thanks in advance for any help. IMG_1659 by Brian Smith, on Flickr

  14. This may possibly be my most favorite Peterbilt model ever!! I really like what you've come up with. The grill is one of my favorite parts. Great work!!
  15. That is one sharp Peterbilt!! I've been wanting to get one of those from Dave. Now I want one even more! Excellent work!!
  16. Thanks for all the kind words guys!! By the way, I re-posted my pictures with Flickr. I was tired of Photobucket.
  17. Dave at A.I.T.M. hosts a site for Illini with only a portion of what Bob actually offers. He said that he is sending me a complete list with my order. If you're looking for something, I can check the list when I get it, or if the list isn't terribly large I may be able to post the whole thing.
