  1. As far as the cab on this kit it has the big back window that I don’t think came out until 75. I think the “Corvette” dash came out in78. So while it can be slightly modified into other years the kit itself fits into the 75-77 range.
  2. I’m going to make a big assumption here, but on the Louisville that I built a while back the emblem was very clean and defined on the intake side Of the hood but barely visible on the other side. I made a clay casting of the intake side emblem and made one out of resin for the other side. So I assume that the one emblem is meant to be for the driver’s side where the emblem is almost nonexistent. But that is just my guess.
  3. Looks great! The old builds have really held up well! I like it!
  4. That is going to be an awesome display complete with the highway! And really big too!
  5. Brian you did a great job on this one! I like the weathered look you came up with. You have really captured the vintage look of these old trucks. I really like this one!!
  6. Oh man I like this one!! I don’t know why but it it seems like back in the day when you saw a Dodge like this one it always needed a bath. You really captured the look of these old work horses! Nice job weathering! Great work!
  7. Thanks! I'm not exactly sure how it was done. From what I understand fiberglass casting was more commonly practiced years ago. It is only the second one that I have ever had, although I've seen several. The first one was the White Road Commander that I did. It had a lot of flash, and even the flash was hard as a brick and hard to remove. On that one I actually cut part of the top off and made it an aerodyne cab, but it was very hard and brittle to work with. This one on the other hand seems to be very crisp and clean. I'm hoping that this one will require very little work. These fiberglass conversions are very thin and very light, probably lighter than styrene. They are smooth on the outside but resemble fiberglass mat on the inside. Some of the ones that I've seen on line and the White Road Commander I built were so thin that light shined through them. Thanks JT!
  8. This one began with a fiberglass conversion. With it being fiberglass and extremely thin and brittle, this one will be curb side. I did however put together a crude example of the Red Diamond 450 engine for the truck. It is by far not perfect but keep in mind it will only be seen from underneath. The 4300 kit will supply the chassis.
  9. Beautiful build! I’ve enjoyed watching this one come together! I always thought that something looked a little off about this conversion kit and then you showed how to fix the front on this build. Huge improvement! This has been one of my favorite builds! Great work!
  10. I like everything about this model, from the subject to the color! From the wheels and tires to the green clearance lights. Very clean work! You really captured the vintage look! Excellent work!
  11. Turned out great! Nice work!
  12. That’s the one! Beautiful build! I forgot about the Rubber Duck. Great build as well!
  13. I like the fly swatter mirrors! It gives it that old school look!
  14. I agree on the mirrors. That is one of the things that always bothered me on the old Monogram now Revell W900 KW snap kit. One part of the mirror attaches to the door the other half to the cab. I guess the driver just crawls through the window.
  15. WOW!!! Call me impressed!! Details!! Details!! From the a/c compressor to the tensioner bolt on the back side of the idler pulley. I’ve never thought of doing a project like this. Great idea, excellent work, amazing results!
  16. Beautiful builds Angel! I seem to recall another great looking Peterbilt that you finished too! Great to see these!
  17. This is on an old White, but I have a few reference pictures. If I'm remembering right, this one has a 6 cylinder Ford engine and truck transmission.
  18. Glad to see you back on this one! Looks Awesome! The cab looks great! I really like those drive tires!!
  19. That turned out nice! I like the paint scheme and the four pipe exhaust! Looks great! Great work!
  20. Thanks JT!! Thanks!! Thanks so much! Thanks Jim! My favorite builds are fleet builds! Thanks DJ! If I'm not mistaken the 358 was made from 1965 to 1976. Peterbilt also offered a conversion kit for the 351 to switch it from a butterfly hood to a 358 tilt hood. With that said, I "assume" there may be other year models that began life as a 351.
